Creative Motion Metallic Motion Lamp, 16-Inch, Blue

I love this lamp! Ive never seen one like it and am extremely pleased to add it to my collection. This lamp gives a visual of molten metal swirling around with eruptions of bubbles stretching away to cool off. Equally pleasing is that this lava lamp has been the least expensive in my collection, has performed well during all temp. changes, whereas most of my lava lamps are pretty temperamental and not adaptable to temp changes. Running about 12-15 hours daily, consistent performance for over 30+ days now. Highly recommend this conversation piece.

I've been an owner of an original Lava Lite lamp for 15 years or better and recently purchased two more and they both got returned. I gave it one last shot with this one and I can say that this is a quality lava lamp for it's price. The glass has very few bubbles the liquid is crystal clear and the overall design is nice. The only problem is that sometimes wax can get stuck on the inside of the bottle and make it look dirty. Otherwise this was the best lamp you could get for the money.

This lava lamp is great. I got it for my baby son's room and wanted one that was nice and simple and interesting to watch. This is a really unique idea. The metallic wax 'blobs' really nicely and the lamp is not too bright so it makes a fab night light for him to watch before going to sleep. I have not left it on all night though--just FYI. The bulbs are a bit of a pain since we tried to find replacements and couldn't work out what to get but with light use, it should last.

I ordered this lamp and was disappointed that the lamp was extremely cloudy. I read from others where running that the water will eventually clear up after regular use but I didn't find this to be the case. I received another lamp from Amazon and the water is crystal clear. If you're having an issue with the lamp being cloudy it must be due to a quality control issue. After receiving the new lamp I am extremely happy with my purchase. I am giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 due to having to get an additional lamp. From reading other reviews it appears I wasn't the only one that had this problem. Update 8/17/15 - The lava is getting stuck to the inside of the glass and is stuck. I turned off the lava lamp and tried to toll the glass around to get the lava to off the glass but it is stuck. I could probably drain the liquid and clean it but that doesn't seem like an acceptable solution as this should not have happened. After two bad lamps I'm afraid I'll have to return it as there seems to be quality control issues with this lamp.

Not as good looking as in the picture and can be hard to assemble. The first lamp that was shipped wasn't fitted properly and led to large amounts of frustration as I tried furiously to install a lamp that just wasn't going to fit. The second one was easier but still frustrating. When I finally got it turned on I was expecting magic due to the difficulties from putting it together, but again I was disappointed. This lamp is fun to watch and looks pretty cool, just not as cool and fun as I expected. All in all, just keep your expectations reasonable and you'll be satisfied for sure. Remember it's just a lava lamp.

Was really excited to buy my first lava lamp and the picture looks so awesome, I should have known that crystal clear water was only a myth. Mine arrived in a timely manner but the cloudy green water was a complete disappointment, not to mention the wax isn't very active at all... I will be requesting a replacement, and continuing my search for a good lamp. On the plus side, it does heat up very fast.

This is one of my favorite lava lamps. The silvery color is very pretty and as time goes by while the lamp is on, the color darkens a bit. Very beautiful and very distracting :) Upon arrival the glass has wax residue on the inside. Overtime the residue has lessened. I suppose if I left the lamp on in 12 hour stints it would disappear entirely.

The one I bought before this form the same place (here) the water was crystal clear and the wax an amazing silver (even though I had ordered blue, I felt I was lucky as silver was my first choice but couldn't find it). This one, the water is so cloudy you can barely see the wax...which has no metallic appearance. It's been running for a long time and there is no improvement. I suspect this lamp is a hit or miss kind thing. I got lucky with the first one (until it broke after a few months) but the new one is awful. Ended up throwing it in the garbage. SO disappointing.
