Are these boots good for the winter? I work in Corrections so I need a good pair of waterproof warm boots.

This is a non-insulated, very light, quick drying, waterproof boot. I would have now issues with wearing this around town during the Minnesota winters, but I would not use this as a true 'winter boot'.

Are these safety/ composite/ steel toed?

No, these boots are not steel toed or safety boots. My husband loves his & says they're the best boots ever. But he works on a golf course, so the safety factor is not really a issue for him.

Are these boots waterproof?

My pair does a decent job of keeping water out. But last week (12-11-15) my boots and socks got pretty soaked. I've had pairs that had better gortec liners.
