At night upstairs, there’s probably 100 months on the ceiling** A: Hi, I found to truly know exactly which strain, you need to take a sample to your local extention office. Then based on strain, buy the pheromone traps. Mine were pantry moths. It will take time!! They do work. I think ours happened because they came in a box of poptarts from Sam's club. They then got into other things and I didn't know it. Before we knew it they were upstairs and down stairs. We're clean, but these moths will prefer food, including spices, eat through bags,etc and reserve clothing as their non preferred meal. Wool will not be safe. I have spent countless hours checking every box and package by opening up, and clorox wiping non paper packages even in the seem. I have also purchased many solid containers with rubber rings for closure. I set 4 traps upstairs and 4 downstairs. Be sure to clorox cabnits, shelves, and containers within. They love candy, chips, dog food, but basically and food item. Once you have them, and see 1, you are already infested. Take a sample to positively identify.
