The Book of Random Oddities

Beautiful looking book… it’s just, it’s not at all what I expected. Random Oddities, I imagined it to be about weird and wonderful stories from around the world. Instead, it’s about the origins of words and phrases!? Confused and disappointed.

Another great book for my husband for christmas. He has 4 of them and really enjoyed them, so I have gotten quite a few more for christmas.

I thought this would be an interesting collection of entries to pass a few minutes with whenever I felt like picking it up. Unfortunately it has no spark to it. Don't waste your money.

I love this book. Actually the series. I have four different titles and 2 more on the way. They are all hard bound, nicely decorated, about 200 pages (guessing) and look presentable on a book shelf. All are the same size. This is a great gift as well. IDK how many I have gifted but it's substantial. I best describe it as a trivia Pursuit answers with explanations, The multitude of topics usually are explained in 2 or 3 paragraphs. It short enough to keep one interested. My 1st book, I probably read about 60 pages in the first sitting without realizing it because it was short but interesting. I'm not a big reader, but I've gone through these pretty quick. Very enjoyable & affordable.
