The color was a little lighter than I thought it would be. Irregardless I did not return for a darker color. These covers have truly been a saver for the couch and chair. I have 2 large breed dogs who don’t always stay off the furniture. The furniture is protected from dirt off the dogs and dog fur. I live in a working farmhouse, my husband is prone to sitting in furniture with manure, sawdust, mud, grease you name it and it’s on his clothes. These have protected not only the seat cushions but the arms as well. The covers fit very well, the arm cover part stays in place, the back stays in place and the seat stays in place. I tuck it slightly under the seat cushions. The strap works well to hold the back in place, tho sometimes it gets moved a little bit (5 year old can’t always sit still when on the couch ! ). I have washed this multiple times since purchasing and it has stood up well. It is not completely waterproof but for minor spills it offers some protection. All in all I am super pleased with the quality. I did purchase the couch cover on sale but the chair cover was not.
