Fit's my W124 1987 300D
These are good filters, no issues. Only issue is installation, it's messy. Not the filter's fault though!

Doesn't fit 1985 Mercedes 300SD
DOES NOT FIT 1985 300SD California model Mercedes. I doubt the California model matters. It's about 20% bigger than the spin on filter I took off and it won't clear the power steering pump/bracket to screw on. I didn't realize this until after I filled it with Seafoam so it was a $10 lesson learned. I'm sure the company/Amazon will make it good but FYI on the fitment. I'm sure it's a great quality filter if you get the right one.
