How does it do in hardwoods? White Oak.

I used the Makita chain mortiser in nothing but oak for my first 10 years as a timber framer. It does fine. Having said that, the chain needs to be kept sharp, and we, as most timber framers working with oak, used green timber. Old dry oak is a beast unto itself and not to be trifled with..
