Review: Perfect for Blacking out your EZ-Pass - I got these because I was not a fan of the white EZ-pass in the window that sticks out like a sore thumb. It is very comparable to the ones that came with the pass but is definitely wider. It has a few pounds of retention so no worry of it falling off when you don't want it to but unlike some of the other methods of "blacking out" the EZ-Pass this adds no additional girth and can easily be removed if i wanted to use it in another car for a night. This and some black electrical tape around the EZ-Pass and you would never notice it unless you were really hunting for it. Let me know if this helped anyone. Update: 03/16/16 I am not sure if it was the strips or them being attached to electrical tape but on a pretty warm morning I came out to my truck and it appeared the adhesive attaching the strip to the EZpass had failed and would not stay attached overnight. This time around I removed the tape and gave the EZ-Pass two light coats with some black high temp spray paint. (some I already happen to have on hand) You can still read all the textured writing on the back and I placed a small sticker over my ID numbers so I could remove later and still see them as they are flat and would be hidden by paint. Everything feels rock solid and I will update again if there are any problems. Also the strap that was originally attached to the glass has never come off and is still holding incredibly strong.
Review: Used with Command hook for added versatility - We have been using a lot of Command products in our home decorating lately. We first discovered these when I noticed how straight the picture frames were in my sister-in-law's gallery wall. They hung all of the frames with Command picture hanging strips. Our crooked frames were already hung with nails, so we used Command Stabilizer Strips to keep them straight - they work great! Once the stabilizer strips were taken care of, there were some other items to hang on our walls. We used the Picture Hanging Strips to hang wooden letters, a foamcore posterboard, and 11x14 canvases. The canvases are not the kind with a wood frame on the back, but the canvas is wrapped around something thin. They are maybe 3/8" thick. My son has painted several of these at painting parties. It would probably be best to use two strips with them, in the top two corners, but we just used one in the center near the top. They are fairly lightweight and so far it has been fine. The reason we just used one in the center was because we wanted to hang then on our kids' doors part of the time, but we already had a Command hook there for holiday decorations. I ended up removing the hooks and putting a Picture-hanging strip on the back of the Command hook like it would go on the back of a picture. Then a Picture-hanging strip on the door. Now we can hang our Command hook on the door for lightweight holiday decorations (things like a Christmas stocking or felt jack-o-lantern). Or we can remove the hook and put my son's paintings up. It's great to have the versatility. We did have to trim the picture-hanging strip a bit to fit on the back of the hook, but that of course would depend on the size strip and hook you used. I also wouldn't stress the hook too much so we've only used lightweight decorations. As far as using them the normal way, we have been pleased with them. If you don't get it quite straight, remove the picture and try again. We used a small level on top of our frames before pressing the strips together. We had recently repainted our doors, so we made sure to wait a week before applying the strips. Also, don't forget to clean the surfaces with alcohol.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is it sticky on both sides and does it holds on concrete wall?**
A: Two strips are pressed together like velcro. You then remove the red liner from one side and position it on the picture. When all liners are on the picture, you remove the top red liner and now position the picture on the wall and press firmly in place. Next pull the picture from the bottom to disengage the locking strips. Allow the strips on the wall to set for at least 30 minutes. Then reposition the picture and press onto each strip so they lock together. Mine is in a bathroom and holding well. I would imagine it sticks to concrete, but do not know for sure.

**Q: Can this hold a surge protector vertical to a side of a desk?**
A: Yes. I have secured small 6-outlet surge protectors with four pairs of these, and large 12-outlet surge protectors with several transformer boxes plugged in with 6 to 10 pairs (the more pairs, the more hooks holding, the more you can plug and unplug without removing the surge protector from the desk). I suggest making sure you have a very clean surface first, and make sure that the cleaning agent you use has dried before using the strips. For best results, I always stick a pair together at the hooks, then one sticky side to the surge protector, and I do this for all pairs, until I have the pattern of strips on the surge protector. Then I wait 10-20 minutes for the sticky to adhere to the surge protector. Finally, I then remove the protective paper on the other sides (while still hooked to the strips on the surge protector), and stick in place on the desk, or on the wall, wherever I mean for it to go. Now, most importantly, I do not touch the surge protector (or picture frame, etc) for at least an hour. Every single time that I am lazy and immediately plug in or try to remove in order to straighten the mounted item, the stickiness is ruined and the strip will never stay in place again. This is not actually a fault of the strips, just a consequence of how the sticky works. Once you expose the sticky side to the air, the sticky is "activated", and you have a small amount of time before the sticky looses its effectiveness. If you stick it right away and leave it for some time, then the sticky material has time to adhere and bond with the desk laminate, or paint on your wall, etc. For those who have trouble removing them, READ HERE: slowly pry the attached (non sticky) pull tab slightly away from the stuck surface, then pull away from the strip ALONG the surface! The sticky may stay on the wall or desk, however the hook side (velcro side) will be released. This is because the foam piece between the sticky substance and the hook fastener is a kind of foam that will break the bond with the other materials when stretched. It's more complicated then this, but that is the basics. If you pull away from the stuck surface (away from the wall) then you are putting your pulling energy into the sticky, not into the foam, and thus you will rip the wall paint right off with the sticky and the strip, rather than releasing the sticky from the foam as intended. For removal instructions and demonstration, please see this lovely video: https://youtu.be/HJ9RZt0_qMk?t=1m4s

**Q: so how many pairs does it have?**
A: The description says 12 strips. The picture on the box says 12 PAIR. That is VERY different. Which one is actually correct? Please don't answer with "I think..." or "I believe". Respond only if you know for sure. Thanks.

**Q: does the strip show**
A: No it does not.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Command Strips Good Replacement for Nails to Hang Pictures
*by N***M on February 22, 2016*

Great product! I have used these hanging strips to hang several pictures around my house and they are strong enough to hold up a good sized 11x17 sized picture in a frame. I have also had to remove these from painted walls and pulled straight down as the directions state, and never had an issue with it pulling paint off the wall or leaving residue behind. The only thing that sometimes happens is that the stretchy backing snaps while I'm pulling it down and will come off in a piece, and then I have to get a grip on the rest and pull that straight down too. Not a huge deal, though. The other thing I like is that you can compensate for a slightly crooked picture by pulling the picture back off the wall (with the backing still stuck to the wall and reposition a little, and then stick the grippies back together. Even if the grippies are stuck back together a little off center from each other, I haven't found that it affects the product's ability to hold the frame, and I've never had anything fall down. These are my go-to products now and I haven't had to hammer in a nail to hang a picture in a few years now.
