Works perfectly, impressed for this price!
These have a good solid feel and appear to be well made. I had no issues setting these up or mechanical problems with them that I had seen in other reviews. With that being said, I was not a fan of the 2 little nubs on the bottom that assist in keeping them from rotating along with the screw. My guitar, a Gretsch Jet Vintage Select and Electromatic Hollow Body do not have the indents for that. I drilled a small indent in the finish to accommodate the nubs to keep the varnish from cracking while tightening. As far as tuning, an 18:1 ration would be better served but with a delicate touch while tuning they did just fine. These are holding quite nicely and keeping the Bigsby tremolo in check. I will be adding these to my Jackson and Les Paul that have tremolos as well.

High quality tuners, rock solid
Smooth tuning. Stay in tune. This is a locking tuner so if you screw the thumb wheel out to the limit (but not beyond because you might damage the screw or break it off) you can lube both the worm gear and the main gear inside. I dip a tooth pick in the grease and put it on the gears inside the tuner. Looking inside it looks like brass gears. I lubed it with lubriplate, a Lithium based grease. I suspect all geared tuners use brass gears so lubing with Lithium grease is a very good idea. It also helps to give the tuner that silky smooth feel. I adjusted the tension with the philips head screws in the tuning knobs. Ultra-smooth tuning. I had to drill holes for the screws because the old tuners used a peg (Sperzel tuners) instead of a screw. No problem. I was very careful about drilling the correct size hole and using screw lube on the threads so I would not break or strip the heads any of the phillips head screws. Note on adjusting the screws that hold the knobs in place: Do not loosen these too much or the tuner will bind because it will allow the worm gear to pull outward slightly while the knob is rotated. You can see this happening if you look closely at the back of the tuner. For smooth operation the screw has to be pretty snug but not tight. You can judge this by rotating the knob and feeling the torque required. Using a string winder gives you the feel for it. The appearance of these gold tuners is right up there with my Grover and Schaller tuners on other guitars. Those tuners were over a hundred bucks. I love the Guyker 18:1 tuning ratio. It makes tuning more accurate and faster with the smaller knobs on 6 inline tuners. The Sperzals had only a 12:1 tuning ration which is to coarse for me, particularly with the smaller tuning knobs on a strat-style guitar (6 inline). I have found over the years that Guyker parts have just as good quality and life expectancy as the higher priced tuners. It's pretty surprising. Don't let the low price convince you that it's low quality. I don't know how they do it, but the quality is great. I found that to be true of all Guyker parts that I have purchased including Bridges, String Stops, and now tuners. So these days my first choice is Guyker and if they don't have what I need I look to the higher priced stuff. All the big name brands have much higher prices, but my experience is that the quality isn't any better than Guyker. Maybe i shouldn't say this because Guyker might raise their prices! I don't get paid for writing this review and am not afilliated with Guyker. I just appreciate high quality and affordable prices. I own about 22 guitars (kind of lost count) LoL. And I work on them all. I love working on guitars (and playing).

Really quality for an amazing price.
Very impressed with the quality of the tuners. They feel solid, look very well made. Nice tight control of the tuning peg. However, can't really get a handle on how well they will perform until I get them installed on the guitar I am building. In the process of applying 25 coats of clear Nitro on the body. Don't anticipate installation until probably Sept. or Oct. Note: These things are heavy. I bought 3 sets to put on a 12 string / 6 string double neck guitar I am building. Remains to be seen if the guitar ends up neck heavy or not.

@blindembers This guitar has a new life and gig!!
Don't laugh, These tuners work perfect and upgraded the look to the guitar. Note, I purchased two bridge pickup covers for both the neck and bridge, and new knobs tone/volume. I did some additional upgrades to an '88 Kramer. The pickups were upgrade back in late 90's to Seymour Duncans. The new upgrades included the chrome pickup trims, and covers and locking tuners. The guitar looks and sounds great on stage. Completely stays in tune with the Floyd Rose (original). I did do a complete setup on the guitar. Perhaps is was time for some LUV

Good, but are they great?
First off, I was on the fence about these particular tuners due to some of the reviews I read. I really couldn't decide on what brand I wanted to get. Price was a big part of the reason I decided to try these. Now I never order locking tuners before. So after a few days of YouTube videos I felt that I gained enough knowledge to give it a try. Yes I wanted the more expensive name brand tuners, just couldn't bring myself to pay almost $100 for a set on tuners. So I pulled a stock tuner out of my Jackson flying V and measured the tuner. knowing the measurements I went shopping on Amazon. Purchased these tuners. They were a direct replacement for my guitar. Even the screw holes on the back matches right up! When I received my package the next day. I did a quality check of the tuners to make sure they were functioning properly, and a dry fit to make sure they fit my guitar. One thing to note is that the hole the string goes in looked very small. I checked all of them to see if there were any differences between the tuners. They were all the same. Since I had to remove the old strings anyway, I cut a piece of the low E string and made sure it would work correctly with the size strings I use(10-48). The string did fit but didn't have a lot of wiggle room. So if I wanted to a bigger low E there may be a issue in the future. Installation was a breeze. Really straight forward. I have it done inless than 5 minutes. The turners seem a little rough, nothing to worry about, when you turn the pegs. I think these will smooth out a bit after a little bit of use. As of right now, I can't comment on the there ability to hold tune etc... right now this is a project guitar, and I'm slowly replacing parts. I'm not totally blown away but these tuners so far. I do think they're an upgrade, but as of right now I just don't how much of one it is. I do have another guitar with a set of factory locking tuners on it, these were my first experience with locking tuners. The guyker seem to be pretty much on par with those. Thanks for taking the time to read my review, and I hope it helped out in some way. ***Update 10-6-24*** Got the the V up and running. Ordered new pickups, and had them installed. Restrung the guitar. These seam to be great tuners. They're smooth under string tension and precise. They keep tune very well, I have to account for the new strings stretching. I play very hard and I did notice after a few minutes the A string went flat. Not worried at this point because the strings are new, after a week I try to update. ***Update 12/19/25*** Switched to a larger gauge of strings 10-52. Low E string barely fit into the tuning post. If you're into drop tuning consider this before you buy. Other wise still impressed with these tuners. Looking at buying a set for my everyday practice guitar a Epiphone SG Special which I use a smaller gauge strings for.

Better than you would think at this price point
I’ve had these on my 1983 Electra for over a year and a half, and I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. Plenty of tuning stability. The locking mechanisms hold their torque. They look good. They’re heavy. They turn smoothly. And of course, for $40, this represents some amazing value. My singular point of criticism, if I was to find one, is finish. I can tell that there is a certain level of precise finishing that isn’t quite there. I wouldn’t expect that on tuners at this price point, but the slight roughness that exists on certain components of these tuners (like the actual string hole) is evident on close inspection. Certainly not bad enough, however, to knock off a star and hurt the overall rating. ALSO- double check the sizing of your guitar’s tuner holes in the headstock. I had to tediously drill out some extra material to make these tuners fit. I didn’t expect that, and it was a nerve-wracking process! Would buy again for my other instruments, without a doubt!

IMO the best locking tuners for the money.
I was looking for for some good locking tuners for my Jackson SL5X FSR and I didn't want to pay as much as I did for a set of the Hipshot Grip-Lock 6 inline 21mm Locking Tuners I bought for my Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HH HT. These tuners were cheaper in price, fit my Jackson SL5X FSR perfect, were easy to install, are far more responsive for fine tuning and made restringing my guitar far faster. I would say these help tuning stability at all like many claim, but since my Jackson SL5X FSR has a Floyd Rose on it I wasn't worried at all because the locking nut should take care of the rest. These are so good I decide to buy two more sets for two other guitars to speed up restringing because they're Floyd Rose guitars as well. IMO I feel these tuners would great for a hardtail guitar even better because of the 18:1 gear ratio making fine tuning a breeze. Excuse the sloppy stringing. I just redid my strings and it looks better now. These are reference picture just to show the tuners on the guitar.

Very good stuff
