I see it doesnt come with a cover.** A: I would say it holds approx. 6 gallons of water. We empty it often to keep the water clean very easy to fill and empty. It has a plug to empty in the bottom and you have to tilt it slightly to drain it completely. My nephew is 15 months old and this is one of his favorite toys, he has a 5 year old cousin that enjoys it just as much as he does. Being a little tykes product it is made sturdy and will last for however long she wants to enjoy it. The price was absolutely right on point and did not break my wallet. It takes about 2 to 3 gallons of water to fill it for several hours of fun Water enjoyment. The only thing that I would say should be looked at and possibly changed is the plug assembly. It was a little bit on the difficult side for me as an older woman to try to get it in properly. I would suggest that the toy itself comes with the plug already installed.
