Dr. Elsey's cleanprotein Duck Cat Kibble 2 lb. Bag

I researched quite a lot until I found this particular dry food brand. Note it is more expensive than "regular" cat food. However, it has a much higher protein content and I found my cats not eating as much, not because it isn't tasty, but likely it is more filling.

Good food . My cats do not have any digestive issues or throw up . They like all the flavors .

BUY IT! I have two 14 year old cats that have had major intestinal issues with puking and they DEVOURED this kibble (I don’t normally let them eat kibble due to the lack of quality) and have had zero upset tummies! I now am able to mix a little kibble with wet food without issues. A bit pricey but worth it knowing it is high protein and safe for my former diabetic cat too. Thank you!

One of the brands recommended for diabetic cats. It was a hit for my kibble loving cat, but it raised his glucose, so had to discontinue its use. Darn! He has since gone into remission, but don't want to test it again and knock him out of the remission.

I am giving this food five stars because it is similar, if not better than, most of the top nutrition brands for cats. Cats generally prefer high protein, high fat diets. Some companies think that a low fat diet is better for cats because it's better for us. It's not. Cats should have little to no carbohydrates in their diet as well, and from my own research, this is one of the lowest-carb dry cat foods on the market. Kudos to Dr. Elsey's for this. My only qualms for this product are: 1) The price, which is generally not bad for high-quality food. 2) The zipper on the bag does not zip well after a few uses, I have to clip it myself. Not a big deal. Overall, this is one of the best dry cat foods on the market from my own research, and definitely deserves a five-star rating. Note: For my own cat, I found I have to feed her slightly less than what is stated on the bag to get her to lose weight. For overweight cats, I would recommend supplementing this dry food with other high-fat or high-protein (IMPORTANT: LOW CARB) meats for one of their meals of the day. It will make this food last longer and may even be slightly cheaper depending on the meat you get.

My cats love this food but it is too expensive for feeding five cats.

He's very picky. He usually doesn't eat anything other than what he was fed since kittenhood. He took to the salmon, rabbit and now, duck&chicken I wonder if they still sell the rabbit somewhere, can't find it in any of popular sites.

First, anyone complaining about diarrhea, really needs to introduce this food incredibly slowly over one to two weeks. It absolutely will cause diarrhea in many cats if you just straight out, feed it full force. The amazing thing about this food, at least for my cat, is the quality of the ingredients, and incredibly low carbohydrate content. My cat, Devon Rex, develops skin issues with most dry foods. It’s because most dry foods even hypoallergenic, have tons of carbs. Even if they are grain free.

Hi, I monthly order Dr Elsey cat dry food but last batch was not good at all, see pictures. All cats start vomiting and I stopped giving the food from that batch. I don’t know what happen, is that due to production batch? transport? please advise if replacement is possible. Thank you with best regards Osterlind Alain Taher
