One for my dad and one for my husband. My dad is normally and XL and my husband is an XL/2 XL. I got them both XL and it fit both of them perfect. I think these are pretty true to size. It is a fairly heavy jacket that I would estimate should keep you warm into the 30's. It is a bit over-sized probably by a half size. I like that as it gives me room to layer up as needed. I liked it so much, I bought a second one before they sold out!The hood and jersey zip interior storm flap are not a separate sweatshirt that you can remove. The construction is first rate and seems like it'll last. I will say, that as with most of these duck (or chore, or barn, whatever you call them) jackets, the zipper is a little tough to work - I just give it a shot or two of WD-40 and it works fine. The stitching on the emblem is first rate and is not a patch, but actual embroidery. The hand-warmer pockets are large enough to do the job.I will say, I got this at an incredible sale price (I was not given this jacket for this review) of almost 90% off (I think they were selling off their stock). I can say for sure that I wouldn't pay the full price (listed at around $115) for this, but I don't think I'd pay $115 for any jacket! My husband loves it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars LIKE SOME THINGS IN LIFE -- ALMOST PERFECT EXCEPT --- EXTRA TINY HOOD PUT IN LARGE JACKET :-( *by Z***2 on Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2015* Jacket is pretty warm -- fit for the jacket is fine -- in my case the hooded part goes to a tiny head -- -- when I put it on it raises the jacket off of my shoulders so the whole jacket is suspended by your neck muscles [you either have these or will develop them :-) ] --- The jacket does get a lot of compllements on the looks while not using the hooded part -- that is a sort of mismatch or maybe in my jacket they put a small hood in a much bigger jacket as I thought I bought at least an Large & probably an Extra Large to allow for more clothes when it is really cold..
