Within 2 hours I had a reply that new parts are being shipped. In 4 days, a box arrived with both left and right armrests. My chair is 12 yaers old. It did not seem to matter to them.I do not use different chairs as often as many people so I can not compare with other chairs other that I find this chair qiite comfortable for me. The Customet Service is far above any other company I can think of. I wish the maker of my car had the same policy!I would, without hesitation, buy this chair again. Good cushions, good support in lower back. Tilt back feature is nice, and the lock back feature holds firm if you don't like to tilt backwards.The mesh fabric on the seat is strong, flexible, but somewhat slick and can cause some sliding forward.Legs and casters are sturdy. Chair is solid top to bottom, does not rattle, wobble side to side or sway. Casters roll easily on carpet or on plastic office floor mat.Arm rests are adjustable and hold their height positions without any vertical give / sliding or sudden collapses.The only functional idiosyncrasy is that the seat loses its height setting gradually over time. It's easy to adjust up and down, but seems the pneumatic slowly slides down ever so subtly over time until you realize you're about 1 to 2 inches lower than two weeks ago.
