Vive Migraine Relief Cap - Hot & Cold Compression Hat for Headache - Full

I’m one of the cursed that deals did migraines/massive headaches on nearly a daily basis. I live in ice hats. My kitchen freezer is more ice hat than actual food. I am constantly stalking Amazon to try and find ice hats that fit the bill.My biggest problem with ice hats are full head coverage with a hole for a pony tail to go out of it. Almost all that claim full head coverage are really just a tube and nothing conforms over top of the head. There are a few that are full head coverage, but then there is no hole for a ponytail. There are a very few that have whole head and a hole for ponytail but then they seem like they are just a two layered hat that they punched a hole through so it really doesn’t fit very well on the top of the head. So for the few that are left that meet that criteria they are of the thinner ice hat material. Then there is this one. Full head coverage, check. Hole for ponytail, check. Actual ice packs that hold the cold more than three minutes, check!!!!!!! I am so very happy I stumbled upon this item. It is my go to big boy ice hat for when I want cold and I want it to stay that way. I was a little confused at first on how to put it on. Normally pockets where the ice goes are not what goes against the skin. Once I figured that out, I was able to get it put on. For me it seems like it’s more of a two-step system to actually get the strap in the correct place. With where the strap is placed, I can only get it on so far before letting go of the hat and moving my hands to a different area to pull it off and finish tightening the strap. This one does not provide the massive compression that the other cheap loops of cooling provides. This provides actual ice coldness against your head. It’s a bit bulky so it’s best for when you are laying down or really don’t care and are not moving around much. It does stay cold. It does do its job. I will be ordering more. If you have a dedicated freezer to ice hats, like I do, make sure you add this into your rotation. It may be a bit pricier than the cheap loops, but this one does the work of 10 of them at once. The little review cannot share how much I love this hat and want to shout it from the rooftops for every migraine suffer like myself to get. Other colors would be cute. This would also help me determine the rotation of what ones have been used and what ones need to freeze. That is minor. It’s just a suggestion. You won’t be disappointed in this ice hat, but it will make you disappointed in all others that are out there.

VIVE Full Head Ice Wrap – This works GREAT!!! Really, I’ve suffered from migraines for over 40 years and only learned about using ice packs for the past 10 years would help. I use to use the kind of ice wraps for knees and so forth (putting them on my forehead) but the Velcro strap would pull my hair and make my head hurt even worse. With this item you have the option of where you want to put the ice (sides, front, back or top (I don’t put the ice pack on the top because it makes my pain worse, but that is just me)). I liked this item so much I ordered 4 more just to make sure I didn’t run out (you know you buy something; it works great and then you can’t find it again). I put the ice packs in the freezer (making sure the gel is mostly positioned at the bottom of the pack) and then when I get ready for bed I put the pack into the wrap slots. By setting the ice packs into the wrap before I go to bed the wrap is ready to go in the middle of the night when my migraines strike. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who suffers from migraines to try this!!! P.S. I do recommend you position a cloth over your eyes because the ice can dry your eyes out, but I would change anything (how it's made) about this product!!!

Stays cold longer than most and works better than the think black gel versions. There is no odor or scent at all. Only reason to not give 5 stars is that the velcro wears out over time making it hard to keep on. Also, before putting these back in the freezer, be sure to press them flat. If you try to press them flat AFTER they are frozen, there is a high probability of the gel packs breaking at the seam. With care and proper storage, expect these to last about a year or more. You can also purchase replacement gel packs if needed.

Would absolutely give 5 stars IF there was a more substantial, thicker material on the inside. The spandex ice pack holders inside do not protect your skin at all. Must wear a thin toboggan under it. Upside-it is very adjustable, comfortable, and provides headache relief.

I was looking for a very specific type of ice pack for the back of my head, where the occipital nerve runs. I wanted it to stay cold for 30min to 1 hour and to fit in the specific area I needed. Pros: 1. Stays cold for over an hour. 2. Covers a wide area Con: 1. Very heavy. I only wear this lying down. I cannot hold my head up with this on. However, if I feel the need to use it then, I would be lying down anyways. I would recommend this product despite the weight because if I really need to use it then siting or standing wouldn’t be an option for me anyways.

So many great qualities of this ice pack. Large fit my big head and all my thick lushies hair. Love the Velcro. That means adjustable. Only one of it's kind to fit big or small heads and for comfortable. Nothing compares stays cold for up to 2+ hours. Can't say enough how this has help my life with migraines and brain inflammation. Even warm/hot days. I recommend whatever is going on can't not have this device & very affordable.

Very well designed and high quality materials and workmanship. This is a life preserver for people who have migraines. It's soft, flexible and the ice packs cover your entire head if you choose to utilize all the inserts. The adjustable compression is also very helpful. It stays cold for 2-3 hours and the packs quickly chill in the freezer. It's easy and fast to insert the packs and each sleeve is well stitched and stretchy. The cap is both comforting and comfortable and is a million times better than frozen peas, ice bags etc. I do wish they sold a second set of the ice packs so I could wear it longer than 2-3 hours. I highly recommend this.
