Very good
Although it costs a lot, it met my expectation on day one! -Easy to install and unplug sim card -Internet speed match what I get with iPhone 5g - I can take off the cable to replace broadband - easy to set up Negative: The original cable is too short, only 1m It doesnt come with a charger, I have to get one. Day 3 Update: It needs 15W charger plug, so I bought 25W Usb C Fast Charger Plug for this router. so far so good since I removed the battery and switch on 24/7. Negative: The original cable is USB-A, so I need to buy a USB-C for better current.

Battery damaged, D-Link DWR-2101 5G Wi-Fi 6 Mobile Hotspot,
Absoluty disgusted with the product. We had no one but twice a failure with the battery in the device. Just get bloated, and obviously, the router doesn't work properly (is the malfunction related to the battery or tue router itself? Don't know, honestly) We bought the router at the end of sept 2021, and now, November 2024, again, we are having the same issue: Battery and malfunction in the signal (reason why get damaged and the router doenst work properly: just because). For the price we paid, I was expecting a long life and a good quality, sadly, my good opinion now is completely erased because even the customer service is null, inexistent, and rude. So far, we paid for a device with a very limited spawn life... I was expecting better from D link. But they proved me wrong. I have other devices that have a better life than this cheap quality but expensive router. If you are questioning that we made a bad use of the router? Not at all. We haven't even dropped the router accidentally, it was safely located in a place to be functional. I can't recommend investing your money in D-Link DWR-2101 5G Wi-Fi 6 Mobile Hotspot. Maybe my device is faulty, and all the other works amazingly, but even if mine it's damaged, the customer service doesn't care about that, because they have refused to change the battery, claiming they dont care if we share the bad customer servicd with others, ans we can do whatever we want because they will do nothing, but to offer us to buy other device. Good business, right? So keep scrolling and find something better and ensure a good guarantee in the product.

Better than my old broadband providers
Edit: I got it during black Friday sale at £350, otherwise I'd deem it too expensive. So far it has been a good investment; instead of paying 70 euro a month for broadband I'm now using a prepay 5g unlimited data sim at €15 a month. The speed is about 400-600Mb/s, can stream and play online games off of it no problem (obviously depends on your location). Battery will not last a full day, about 7-8 hours. 3 months update, after using it for almost 3 months, topped up my prepaid sim for 15euros/month for unlimited 5G data, so it costed me a total of 45euros so far on top ups, usage of over 900gb, average speed between 200-600mbps, 6 devices are connected to this thing, also able to play LoL/valorant etc at less than 30ping jitter 1ms, defo the best investment made so far Many months later update, brought this around europe, south korea, china and hong kong, used their local sim with no issues, happy days

Great battery life and portability
I brought these for our work from home situation, me and my wife works from home and our bandwidth demand is pretty high. The best part is it's screen, this will show all the info you need along with signal strength and network selection. The worst part is the UI will get stuck at times and you have to restart it. I had to return the first unit i purchased after 6 months as it stoped getting mobile signal, contacted Dlink and they told me to do a return to replacement, which would take about 10 days so i called amazon and was able to get a replacement the very next day. One annoying thing is that i cannot get a Ip access via computer to this router, But most of the common issues you faces will be address on the device screen; but for advance use router accesses is essential, which i cannot figure out, how to get into. The portability is amazing, wish it had an option for an external antenna. If you are buying these i would make sure to buy from amazon as a seller rather than a third party seller so in case it died of lose the ability to get signal ( like i had) you can get it swapped for a new one.

sim card not detected after a week of heavy usage
all worked good for a week, then the sim card slot just stopped detecting a sim card, asked for a replacement, not waiting on a replacement. overall was getting speeds of 280 mbps down and 30 mbps up

Hopeless
If you want a £360 paperweight, this might be for you. When it works, it's decent, 150Mbit+ download speed on EE when on 5G. Too bad it crashes and restarts about 5 times before you can actually use it, and then works for about 10 minutes before it crashes and starts rebooting again. It's unusable and not acceptable from a device that costs this much. Factory reset doesn't work. Went to do a firmware upgrade and it said "not enough space" on a brand new device with no visible way of making space for the update. Hopeless.

Fast and compact
Used for internet access when travelling. Its It's easy to set up and compact so easy to pack. My old 4g router was much larger and had external aerials so much clumsier. We live about 100 metres from a 5g mast but haven't tested it against the FTC broadband yet.

Excellent
Great little unit running 5g speed 200meg on a smarty data sim unlimited at £18 month for 15 month contract. I was with virgin for long while but fed up with slow speed and cost now £41 a month so it was right time to change Highly recommend and did easy to swap over all the devices apart from generation 1 alexa which is a shame
