iTikes Microscope

I bought two of these- one for my daughter who is 2.5 and one for my nephew who is 4. I'm giving my daughter hers for Christmas, but my nephew received his for his birthday and he loves it! It is very nice quality and its awesome that it came with the prepared slides so you can "experiment" right away! I also love how it has the feature to use your smart phone as a viewer as well! This is such a cool, educational toy. I can't wait to give my daughter hers and start teaching her about science and piquing her interest in the science and technology field!

My five and seven year old are just not that interested in this toy. It is also hard to get in and out of the arm that holds the ipad.

Though the description says that it is compatible with the iTouch4, it would not sync with mine at all. The plastic is not very strong either. I know if this was dropped from the table it would definitely crack. So very, very, very happy that I didn't buy this when the price was $90+. I actually waited till the holiday cyber sales & got it for 29.99. I'm still disappointed that I spent even that much since it's just been taking up space in my daughter's room. I would have loved to return the darn thing, but too much time has probably past. Waiting till I find another child whose parents have iPhones or tablets so I can give it away - I hope it'll work. Since I wasn't able to connect with my iTouch, I have no idea if it actually does work.

Cool idea but could have been better. Cannot see much of what is on the slide other than a dark silhouette because lighting not sufficient.

My 2.5 year old grandson is an IPAD wiz. He has taken over my daughter's and my IPAD at every opportunity. Therefore, I thought this would be ideal and educational! I priced it at Walmart & Amazon, they were the same. I decided to purchase from Walmart because return would be more convenient should it be necessary. 2weeks after ordering from Walmart and having it shipped to Virginia, I went on Amazon's web-site just to verify battery requirements. Well, to my surprise, Amazon had 2 listings, one for $25 and one for $119. I'm thinking somethings gotta be different in the 2products. I read and re-read the descriptions but unable to find any differences. I then had online chat w/Amazon agent who informed me the only difference was one sold by Amazon, the other by another vendor. I had paid $94 incl tax/shipping. Of course I ordered a 2nd one from Amazon for $25(no tax/shipping). It arrived 1day after Xmas, but that was OK since we had the original order for Xmas morning!!! I returned the original purchase to Walmart and got refunded, saving almost $70! Works great with both IPHONE & IPAD! He loved it and MERRY XMAS TO ME!!

Bought as a gift and it arrived quickly and seems like it will be fun, entertaining and educational with all the extras that come with it. Can't wait to give this to my son for his birthday and help him learn with it.

Okay but not worth the money.

This was not worth the money. We cannot focus the lenses to see anything. Don't waste your money
