It will keep any screw or bolt from loosening, but you can get the bolt/screw out with a screwdriver and just brush off the Loctite. Very good stuff. **Q: Do I apply this to my doorknob set screw before screwing it in or after? (ie, a drop on top?)** A: Before. You apply this to the screw threads before screwing in. Make sure you only apply a very little bit. More is not better. **Q: how do I open the sealed tube? do I just poke a hole at the top?** A: I think it's best to use a thumbtack, safety pin, etc. to poke a hole into the flat tip.
