After having it installed for over 2 month the weather turned cold and caused issues with my vehicle. Although the functionality of the windows, mirrors and door locks worked fine the thing I couldn’t see was the power it was drawing causing me to be stranded from dead batteries. To say the least I was super frustrated! After a ton of money dumped into shops trying to find the parasitic draw on the battery, tearing apart my vehicle telling me I needed to have my instrument cluster tested and on and on they finally found out that this assembly was the problem. A brand new product that most people would think was working fine from the outside was eating up my battery with an small current draw. Didn’t really notice it if I drove my vehicle daily and didn’t let the battery get too low but not driving it for a few days or having colder weather caused stress on the battery which stranded me multiple times. I was pissed at the time. I purchased this because it came from a reputable company like Dorman. I will need to rethink any purchase from Dorman moving forward. A $100 switch has to date now lost me over $1000 in batteries and shop labor and weeks of my life to find a solution. Oh and to top it off I’m passed my warranty for returning it and quite frankly am so mad that I don’t even want to waste another second of my life on this. I have purchased and installed a used OE switch that is working without any issues.
