He will use what little strength he has to make some space for us to wedge a pillow behind his lower back. Besides physical assistance, it has also actually made a difference psychologically for him as he likes to think of it as exercise. He gets a kick out of using it. One caveat: instead of mounting this to the ceiling, I actually looped it around the foot of my grandfather’s bed. His home still has popcorn ceilings so I was not in the mood to mess with all that.
