I tried drilling the first one with a 1/2 drill and it was too much all at once. Did the next four 1/64 of an inch at a time and made the hole large enough to work with out 1/2 stem feet. Would have preferred to buy plug this size ready for 1/2 diameter stems but this was the best I could find. Review: Didn't Fit - Older office chair, these didn't fit (unfortunately, it was Dad's favorite chair).
