Used bunch of heavy duty Teflon tape and it sealed well. No leaks after months of service. **Q: Temperature max?** A: No specific answers. To be safe I would just figure the maximum theoretical ambient air temperature plus 10-15°. So on 110°F day in the sun I’d figure 125°f as an extreme threshold **Q: What is the flow rate? So pleased with this product! ### ⭐ Won't shut off/ UPDATE!!! *by W***Y on April 27, 2023* After I had a little more time to go through my installation and then I removed it and it was like the 5th time, I was surprised that I have been over it so close yet I have missed the leaking float. It's actually got a pinhole in one end right along the center line from the mold, and it was dripping constantly upon removal and I think it is actually leaking in multiple spots along the center line all the way around. You can actually see inside the thing on the pinhole. What a bunch of garbage. I see it isn't like it's the first one, I think I have come across a few others just in recent reviews. I have a replacement for this one coming but I don't plan on using it, I will be returning both. It's officially been a giant waste of my time and I'm sure not pleased that the things don't receive any quality control before sending out. I bet there are a lot more where that came from. Seems like the float is most likely too small for it to create the lift pressure to shut down. Doesn't matter if you have the water set to a trickle or any amount of flow, that float is just not getting any pressure on the valve. It will run all day and night and I was shocked to see my flood when I got to in the next morning. Adjustment of the float makes no difference at all, and it will completely submerge and it is still allowing a little flow. I can get it to close by lifting up with my finger and it is not the valve itself because it shuts down just fine. I have read about leaking floats on this one but it's not getting any water inside the float on this one. I believe it's just too small. Not sure if anyone has had the same issue, and sadly compared to the other ones that you see the majority of the sellers have being plastic, I really don't want to say that the quality is terrible, but I believe it is a poor design of the float, and I have questions about the shape, it's wedge shape seems to be a waste of design and it will submerge the narrow end of the wedge and the float doesn't even begin to lift or float until it's all the way to the other end, the larger end before you can see it begins to float and create any lift at all.
