Great hits of his career

First, the minus. The hit songs are the single versions. I prefer the album tracks. This should have been a double cd. Throw in some of those deep trax, such as TVC 15. But as is, it's fine for a new fan. Now, the plus. The song selection is great Imo. The must haves are here, and the sound is great. I was 15 when Ziggy came out, and we all fell in luv with this strange new creature. Saw him in Nashville twice. Feb., of '73 and in '76, the Thin White Duke returned! Buy this for your nephew/niece. They'll thank you one day!

Great music to enjoy

I bought this David Bowie CD because, of course, I love David Bowie's one of a kind awesome out of this world music, and because this CD has some of the best songs that David Bowie has ever created. Overall, this CD has great sound and it does have great songs. I do wish, however, that it would've had Starman, because if you're a true David Bowie fan then you must know that Starman is definitely one of the best songs ever in the whole world, and it is a masterpiece in and of itself. How could they leave Starman out of this CD?? I do love that the CD starts off with Space Oddity, though. Space Oddity is another song that I consider to be one of the best songs ever created. Space Oddity, Ashes to Ashes, China Girl,Rebel Rebel, Ziggy Stardust; just to name a few of the great awesome hits that are included in this great CD. If the CD would've had Starman then I would've given it 5 stars, but it's still an awesome CD.

Great CD

All my favorite David Bowie tunes. If you still play CDs and like Bowie, this is a must buy.

David Bowie had this unique ability to transform intricate yet complex melodic thought to life in full measure. His music just didn't relax or excite, he took you on a journey through space and time in a way few others can. Though I would have dropped a couple of songs from this and replaced them with "deeper" cuts. This is a great representation of the man and his imagination. Missing is Star Man, Station to Station, and other favorites of mine, but I transgress. A Great Listen - If you are new to Bowie, this is a good start, I recommend the entire catalog as there are dozens of hidden Gems scattered throughout his career you have never and possibly will never hear on the Radio, and each release had enough great songs to make it worth buying the entire album - Not to mention that many of his "Albums" were a journey all to their own, a concept album if you will where each song builds on a story started from the first.

The songs on this cd are awesome and the best of Bowie.

I absolutely love almost all of the music on this (as you can see by the stars......) CD. I know that I didn't really get into David Bowie when I was in high school BUT I am excited to have his 'Best of Bowie' album that has all the hits on it. I collected more classic rock and Canadian stuff back then. Some of the old stuff is really good and very original, I have a pretty vivid imagination and as the music plays, in some of the music, I can see in my mind different things, different experiences that I have been involved in and it is just somewhat more of a relaxing album to me. Now it may not be to you, but that is the interpretation of music, isn't it! The CD is excellent and you won't be disappointed if you order it.
