Are they "extra absorbant" like the ad headline & package state? or, "for light to moderate incontinence" as the text description says?

The average bladder voids about 300 ml which is about 10 ounces. This shield can handle this much easily. When I am out and about and have been drinking alot for several hours, this is the only time I have problem with leakage. Can only hold the volume of the bladder when it is emptied just once. This is pretty good coverage. These are the best product I have found.  I prefer this type of incontinence product (shield) because I don't have to take all my clothes off below the waist to change in a public bathroom like i would if i wore a diaper-type product. I can un-due the front buttons to take the shield off while sitting on commode, then put on new shield while sitting on same,  fasting the elastic pieces with buttons on the clean shield. It was always embarrassing for me when wearing diaper to have to take pants and underwear off in public bathroom to put clean diaper on. People could see what i was doing beneath stall. Also, pants and underwear touched dirty bathroom floor to undress and re-dress.

I have used these for my father.  I sew the buttons into his Boxer shorts so they can be buttoned right to his underwear.  This is much easier for him to use than the elastic straps and it's more comfortable for him too!  Hope this helps.
