Varify Water Hardness Test Kit - Hard Water Test Strips for Well & Home

Truth be told - I was cynical However, I'm pleasantly surprised. The strips work very well, and I can be 100% sure about this because I have my water softener connected to the hot water only. This is how I wanted it to be setup. I do not want my drinking water softened any more than it is, I actually have a separate filter for that anyway So, I did two tests, and as you can see from the photo. Green is the hot water tap result, and light brown is the cold water tap result. In a nutshell my hot water is soft, and my drinking water is mildly soft. Perfect! All-in-all a conclusive result and there are plenty of strips to last a very long time Would I recommend this product? 100% YES!

Highly inaccurate - it rated 350+ ppm hardness water from the tap (per local area water reports) the same as soft bottled water. Not fit for purpose - spend your money elsewhere, I'll certainly have to.

Very hard to distinguish the colours. It also comes up with a different (about 50 lower) hardness than a liquid test kit. (OK, the liquid might be wrong but it is the one supplied by the softener manufacturer, so I'm inclined to believe that. I guess I'll have to get another tester to try and get a 2 out of 3 result.)

These are perfect especially for me as had an issue with our watersoftner, purchased these at a ridiculous price we'll worth the money.

I've been waiting for something as simple and easy as this ever since I've had a water softener, so 15+ years. It's really easy to use, doesn't need batteries and this batch will likely last longer than I will. Great value too.

Does what it says on the tin. No.issues and easy to use to yest hard and soft water

The colours on the box/strips (green to red) are nothing like as vivid as in the ad photos making it very difficult to judge outcomes. I have no colour blindness, and have been a science teacher for 30 years so am used to such test strips for a range of uses. I tested a range of waters, native (hard where we are), 3 different types of filter (tap, car wash and coffee machine), boiled and rain water. Only Rainwater showed any difference, but even that wasn't anywhere zero as you'd expect. I tested with an electronic meter which clearly showed the differences in dissolved solids, unlike these strips. The window cleaning filter has half the hardness ppm as tap. Underwhelmed. I wouldn't put trust in this kit.

Very imprecise. Colors change and fade, and even if you manage to do it right, you end up with a wide scale between two colors and you have to estimate with a LOT of error margin. Buy an electronic tool instead, don’t waste your money on this.

This is a fabulous product. Very easy and quick hardness testing. Must buy for someone using softner at home.
