And no, technically it will remove pigment from your brushes but I wouldn't recommend it. First it is way too expensive to use like that, second you would have to wash it again to remove the medium anyway. I would recommend an actual oil paint brush cleaner such as mineral spirits (Gamsol is a great non-toxic one) or a citrus solvent.
