I've bought this several times over the years and it's always one of my favorite colors. It's a nice fluorescent green. I reminds me of a highlighter. Sometimes it photographs really green (second picture) other times more highlighter green. I feel like the first and third pic are more accurate. Last pictures was indoors, the day I dyed it. This blends well without any help, as seen in the last picture. I didn't want to take it all the way to my scalp so I just blended it dry. Not sure why I have a picture mid-curl, but I think it shows it blends pretty well. I didn't have any issues with it blending or coloring my extensions either. This color fades well, but did take a while at the very end to get rid of the residual barely there green, then yellow.

This is the best easily accessed neon green hair dye in my opinion. I’ve had green hair for 10 years, so I’ve tried a bunch. The key for this to show up neon is getting your hair lifted light enough. If it looks muddy, your base is too dark, it’s not the fault of the dye. Not all manic panic dyes are created equal - but this one is top tier. People ask me all the time what dye I use and how I get it so bright.

I've been dying my hair green for years now, and this is my go-to color every time. It's a fun, electric green that glows under a black light. Its easy to apply. I have short hair, and I'm not worried about stains on my hands, so I just scoop it out with my fingers and saturate my hair with it section by section. I wash my hair once a week, and this color sticks around for a while. Manic panic is not the product to use if you're going to decide later to switch to something like a red. Manic Panic colors are very difficult to get out of your hair if you want to change it. You can easily move to adjacent colors on the color wheel and work your way around, but don't expect to be able to go straight from this to a complementary color. It'll just look muddy.

We have used this product a few times now in different colors and love it! It is only a temporary color and still is bright and vibrant. Of course, the lighter the hair color the better it will work.

My daughter has really dark hair like mine and she wanted to strip it down and dye it green. She, like most teens, is extremely impatient and doesn't want to listen to her mother (I have been bleaching my own hair for over 20 years now down to platinum, so I have at least a little knowledge and experience with the process, but what do moms know anyway, right? lol), so after two bleach applications in three days she tried putting this in her hair when it was only down to an 8 in some places and 7 in others. You can see how it turned out in the first pic and tears were involved. After consulting with a color specialist from Manic Panic (I adore these wonderful people who are extremely helpful because they want you to always be happy with their products) and being told she needed to wait a few weeks, a protein conditioning treatment, and not washing her hair more than once a week to give it time to heal, she would need to bleach it again with the lowest volume developer (20) possible to avoid her hair breaking off. If at that point her hair was still not lightened to a 9-10 it would be prudent for her to mix the electric lizard with some green envy to get as close to the desired color of her choice. We did go ahead with the recommended process (at least she listened to someone) and added an additional step of toning it with MP Amplified Snow White, mixed a teensy amount of the green envy in and the second photo is the final result. These are fantastic products from a supportive manufacturer that always have beautiful shades with immaculate color payoff as long as you follow the instructions! The only complaints I can make are that the colors WILL stain pillow cases and hair ties (it eventually washes out, so even that is easy to look past) and the colors fade pretty quickly the more you wash your hair. I really do wish the colors stayed vibrant for longer periods of time, but I will always be a huge fan of these products regardless. Also, keep in mind if you have really long or super thick hair you may need more than one 8 Oz jar and definitely more than one 4 Oz jar. Another tip to ensure full coverage of your hair is to make sure you use a wide tooth comb during the application process so you don't miss any of your hair with this product and it doesn't hurt to apply heat with your blow dryer to help the color process a little longer.
