This DeWalt cooler is no different and found ice to last about 4 full days (on par with the other brands). The durability is equal to these brands and at almost half the price it's clearly the better choice. In regards to weight....have a friend. This thing completely loaded with food, beverages, and ice is a beast to carry and no man/woman can carry it very far by themselves.
