the depth gauge is well built -- only thing to improve the gauge would be to have it backlit to make the face easier to read from any angle -- use it to measure bearing saddle depths on differentials, so far works really well.

Great budget depth gauge. Seems to work great, easy to use, read. Convenient storage case.

Nice tool, accurate enough for the task. I really like the point tip provided, too bad, as delivered, you can use it and measure between 0 and 1". I designed and 3d printed a base extension so I could zero the gauge.

Others have written that their battery was dead upon arrival, having to install the second battery supplied. Apparently the folks at IGaging have read the comments and made the necessary changes. When I received mine both batteries were separate from the indicator so that there was no possible way for them to discharge while in storage and transit. I HATE using and reading regular depth gauges and usually would use a digital caliper to take a quick measurement of the rod instead of reading the instrument. With this tool I can take measurements in a fraction of the time it took me previously. The unit also has a HOLD button that allows for the reading to remain static (unchanged) until the next reading is made. The price is MUCH lower than the other competitors as well. A MUST HAVE!
