Review: Very impressive! But the app to control it is hot garbage. - It's absolutely AMAZING; as a mop. As a vacuum, the tiny collection chamber fills up FAST, and I've been spoiled by my Roomba i7, so I really can't recommend this product for it's vacuuming abilities at all, when there are FAR better, and cheaper, options. It's quite quiet, but where it really shines (pun intended) is as a mop. I work outside, and tend to track in a lot of red Georgia clay, the bane to every glorified swiffer-style robotic "mop". I have a Braava m6, and I use it AFTER the Narwal, mainly because I feel like I wasted my money on the Braava now that I have the Narwal, and just want to give it some sort of purpose in life. It really does scrub and cleans better than any robotic mop I've ever owned, including the discontinued iRobot "Scooba". It gets edges very well, but of course can't quite manage corners, but it's a small price to pay for a robot that ACTUALLY mops, getting messes that other robots just smear across the floor, and all you have to do is change out the water tanks and occasionally clean out the little tray it uses to clean itself! It even hops thresholds that frighten my poor Braava too much to cross. I can't recommend this robot enough. The app, though... The app is garbage, and will sometimes lose connection with the robot for no reason, and no amount of router fiddling, Narwal resetting, or app reinstalling will solve it. Just set the phone down, try again in 12 hours, and it will be connected again. When it does work, it allows you to customize zones, which means I can tell it to clean everything normally, but give the area in front of the door an extra scrubbing to deal with any mud I might have tracked in. The saving grace though, is that you don't NEED the app, it's more of an added layer of convenience. You can get the robot working away just fine using the buttons on the home station, and a few well placed magnetic strips. That's the only other "ding" I have against the Narwal, is there is no "lighthouse" or invisible barrier device that you can use. The only way to create "no go zones" without the app, is having to lay magnetic strips across your floor. I personally don't even notice them, but it's still a pretty inelegant solution. I will note that for the past 2 weeks, the app has been functioning just fine, so my bad experience may have been a glitch in the app that has since been fixed. Overall, it's really not a great vacuum, but it's far and away a GREAT mop, and for that, I can't recommend this enough, despite my quibbles.

I purchased a t10 one year ago in March, it started giving me problems and customer service just skated the issue. I change the dust bin every time it vacuums. Now it shuts down giving me a motor error. $1200 down the tube. Buy Shark they work great. Shark is very dependable and clean very well. Shark also empties it own dust bin, no dust bags either. Shark has a great app, not Narwal. I have had nothing but problems, at first the app and now I am getting a motor error. Buy Shark. Do not buy the Narwal products because they do not stand behind them, Sharks are very dependable, clean well and you can buy 5 Shark vacuums for one Narwal. Just to connect using the app is extremely frustrating because it is far from user friendly. **Q: has anyone else run into issues with it not running due to magnetic field?**
A: Dear Mike,

Thank you for approaching Narwal.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
The problem maybe caused when the robot maybe interferred by the local environment with strong magenetism; 
or when the robot exit from the base but the distance between the two is too close, the robot will sense the magenetic materials inside the base and prompts the error; 
or the robot has breakdown and needs our aftersale service.

For your situation, we provide you with the following solutions:
1. Recall the robot and make it exit for several times until it stops prompting the error, and be sure the distance between the robot and the base is far enough.
2. Try to keep the robot to stay away from your house equipment with strong magnetism if possible, and restart to work.
3. Remove the robot module, turn it off for 1 minute and then turn it on again to see if the abnormal magnetic field problem has been solved.

**Q: Suddenly lost connection today, all other devices are still connected to wifi. Tried to reset wifi configuration on narwal. Still "offline".**
A: Exact same issue as well. Purchased 2 days ago, no network issues at all, everything was great!
Today (July 27 2021), App shows robot offline, but app still receives push notifications, status, new mapping data from the robot, and my router even shows it's connected. It's as if the app can receive data from the robot, but cannot send any commands.

**Q: What does the red light on the base mean? i unboxed my narwal robot vacuum and it isn't working. it wont turn on and it isn't charging.**

Thanks for your message. Please be informed that Narwal T10 Robot Mop and Vacuum is not able to detect carpets while mopping by default. However, we recommend you could set the carpet areas as restricted zones via Narwal APP, the T10 Robot will automatically sense it and retreat back. Hope this answered your inquiry.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review

The base station turns on but the robot doesn't. The writing is in Chinese on the base station, there doesn't appear to be any way to change it to English. Their "help" is based in the US so with time zone differences we can't get any prompt replies. When the USA help centre pointed me in the right direction the Australian help centre couldn't be more helpful. They identified a dud battery and replaced it immediately. The new battery works, the base station is in English and the robot works a treat. Customer service at its best.
