I was on the fence about these - I had previously used/purchased Rubbermaid, which degenerated with daily use [Fridge & Microwave] and dishwasher cleaning. While the snaplids present a funky storage challenge, they do seal and preserve food in the fridge so much better than those flimsy red lids. I purchased the plastic version, and now I will also buy the glassware type as well! All lids fit either type. While I thought this package was rather spendy, I did ultimately come to see the quality and efficiency of the design and manufacture. The plastic ones do require more care - top dishwasher rack washing will aid longevity. I think the extra care is worth it because using these containers really do extend your food's fridge life. For those who don't want plastic - I'll bet those glass versions are great! I'll be buying those next! Also, I recommend the Snapware brand - high quality!
