Definitely bright, maybe not Class 1 bright, but certainly bright enough for a landscaper or contractor or plow truck. Not sure on longevity yet as I just received it but time will tell. Good little light to keep in your car too in case you break down or have a flat or something. The magnet will certainly not hold the light to the vehicle during travel, but this light can be permanently mounted if you so choose.
