Works fine with LINUXCNC 2.9.8.
Plugged right in. I am running a Linux variant for controlling a CNC mill and it must have a Centronics parallel port interface. USB to parallel will not work. Other than having to change the hardware address in LinuxCNC, it was painless.

Works like it is supposed to.
After looking at it and the card slot its supposed it go into, I thought it wasn't the right card. The card and the slot were two different sizes, but I guess thats how it works. Installing it was fairly simple after I figured out how my case held the cards in. The drivers was ok to install, I checked the device manager and it had another device without a driver which windows found very easily

An easy way to keep an older printer.
Requires a PCI-e port on the mother board. Allowed the installation of a Centronics printer interface on a more modern operating system. Saved me from throwing out a perfectly good LaserJet 6L printer.

Great product! Works with PlasmaCam Hardware!
I installed this adapter in a new Dell machine. I swapped the full profile bracket with the low profile bracket (both brackets come with the product). Installation took about 5-10 minutes. Driver installation was extremely straightforward for my Windows 10 x64 machine. The drivers can easily be found on StarTech's website. This is a great product, and it works on my PlasmaCam machine, I saved a lot of money going with StarTech over Axxon

Legacy Port That Works Well, Great Option For Old-School Parallel Port Devices
I got this for a client who has a receipt printer with a parallel port interface and they were upgrading their really old PC to a new one without a parallel port. The physical install was simple and easy. I downloaded the latest drivers and they installed with not problems either. Easy peasy. In operation this worked perfectly with the receipt printer it was bought for. I’m very pleased with the result for an economical option. I’ve used other Startech products with good luck so the brand played a role in my choice too. It did not disappoint. That’s why I’m giving this expansion card 5 stars.

Works for HASP pass through to VM
Works well, had a very niche problem to solve. Needed to connect a parallel HASP dongle to a VMware virtual machine. In order to support a really dated piece of software. Was easy to install and worked like a charm. Ended up purchasing twice and using again.

Not compatible with Linux kernel 4.18.0
Not recognized in my Linux 4.18.0 kernel, and the downloaded driver from StarTech would not compile. StatTech support tells me that this card is not supported in a 4.18.0 kernel despite what the web page claims (support for kernels 2.6.x and up). Returned for credit.

Fonctionne correctement
Fonctionne correctement. Les pilotes Parallèle et Série sous Win 7 doivent être recherchés et installés avec le gestionnaire de périphériques sinon la carte n'est pas reconnue. D'autres cartes sont meilleurs marché mais à voir si elles fonctionnent et ont des pilotes disponibles.

当方環境では動作せず
最近のマザーボードはLPTポートが無いものが多く、ワンチャンいけるかもと、古いソフトのhaspドングル用に購入。 結果、どうやらI/Oアドレスが0x0378-0x037Fである必要があるようで、PCIEのパラレルカードではどうやっても無理だとわかり勉強になりました。（その後オンボードLPTありのマザーを購入しドングルも無事動作しました） 製品自体は組み付けも認識も問題ありません。
