OVENTE 7" Wall Mounted Lighted Makeup Mirror, Nickel Brushed MFW70BR1X10X

I am of the school where immediate reviews are not very helpful. I want to know how durable things are and how long they last. Well, I've had this for a few months so really it's not as it should be so I'm breaking my rule here. I'm doing it because I'm pretty sure I know how durable it is. That would quite durable! Installation was easy. The arm is pretty strong, but after a time there is some slight drooping. I installed mine just a tiny bit higher than I thought I needed because I figured some drooping would occur and it did. In truth, I see tons of complaints about that on this model and another similarly priced model and honestly, I figure they have to be younger folks because I'm here to tell you that even back when we had metal everything, all these mirrors droop. It's just a fact of life. Also, I saw one who said that you cannot move it up and down and so downgraded it. Well, none of these are made to do that. Those are especially expensive. It's designed for the use of one person so whomever that person is, it should be measured for said person. just be sure you're aware of that. My advice is to install it just a wee bit higher than you normally would. The droop is actually about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. One useful thing I've found is using it for ambient light. I will take a relaxing bath and turn it on. Though the light isn't warm, it's still bright enough to see, but low enough to keep it relaxing. I have not tried to change the light bulb but know that this is a very cool light. If you work in an environment with cool light (most offices, etc.) this will be helpful but for those in warm light (outdoors, etc.) may want to find out if you can change the bulb. Along those same lines, the light in the mirror is a little insufficient. It is bright and it does make it easier to see, but be prepared to have it installed near other lights. My lights are above my mirror in the bathroom. I bought this primarily because my vision isn't what it used to be and I needed the magnification without having to lean over my sink and breaking my back. I quickly noticed though that this light was not enough alone. All in all, it meets my needs, so that's why I am giving it 5 stars.

Easy to install. Magnification is super good, maybe too good. Wish it could plug in and not run off batteries but otherwise it’s great

This is an excellent mirror with superior magnification (10x!) and I use it daily for makeup application.I have had cataract surgery and need bright light and the close-up magnification. Here's the but-- the lighted ring is great, but it burns batteries like no other. I do remember to turn off the light, but it seems like the batteries only last about 3 weeks before the light begins to dim. I would still buy it again because besides its utility as a magnifier, it folds flush against the wall and looks nice in the bathroom. It also securely attaches to the wall easily and is sturdy.

Terrific item! The mirror is a good size, and the lighting around the outside gives great illumination. The metal arm and frame are a good weight - not at all flimsy. I purchased this to replace an un-lighted mirror of the same design. Fortunately, I was able to simply remove the old one from the wall mount (finger tight nuts hold it to the wall) and put on the new one. All good. The package did include a metal plate and screws to affix to the wall. The round chrome cover that holds the mirror's arm then screws onto that with little nuts that you can tighten securely with just fingers. The light I purchased is 1x on one side, and 10x on the other. Although I do love the mirror and have no intention of returning it, I recommend a 5x rather than a 10x. The "sweet spot" on a 10x is relatively small, and I must get quite close to the mirror to focus. The 10x magnification is more than I need for basic makeup and grooming. Besides, a 10x reveals just a little too many imperfections! I would prefer just a little more fantasy and a little less reality. ;) In sum, a well made, useful item.

I have replaced batteries a few times, but the lights are not bright anymore. Not happy with this since it is screwed into my wall.

Ordered 9/25/2023 and received it 9/29 so regular shipping is outstanding. The unit is well made. Looks elegant especially with the brushed nickel which matches the brushed nickel in and around the shower. At first I thought it was going to be too heavy to attach against the tile using the included plastic anchors and screws especially since all of the weight would be concentrated in the small area where the mirror attaches to the tile but after very gently drilling two holes into the tile using the masonry bit that comes with 46lb capacity Home Depot anchors and screws that I previously had in my toolbox, using two of these anchors and screws, and otherwise mounting the mirror, it looks like it'll hold well and I'm very happy with its look. However, I'm very disappointed with the very poor lighting generated by the LEDs; you have to literally place your face about an inch from the mirror to get a tiny bit of light to shine on your face; I got this to shave my face and head while in the shower instead of always having to come out the shower mid-shower soaking wet to shave using the vanity mirror above the sink and creating on the bathroom floor a pond from the water I brought with me; I might have to buy an additional light but I'm going to give it my first try in a bit and I hope the poor light as it stands is sufficient. THIS IS NOT FOGLESS and I knew this going in and I'm having 2nd thoughts about not choosing a mirror that is fogless but again, I'm going to use it in a bit and I'll know if I can live with it. We had a mirror similar to this in our previous house and decided to add one when updating our current bathroom. I use eye drops 4x/day and the magnification and closeness of this mirror is so convenient for that. My husband uses it for shaving. He installed it to suit his height and then had to lower it a few inches so that we could both use it. Installation was easy but he had to fiddle with it a bit to get the arm to lay perpendicular to the base when closed. It wanted to drop down and that annoyed me, like a picture on the wall that is off kilter. The light feature is new to us and is very effective. I like that it is battery operated because I wouldn't like a cord hanging down. A rechargeable unit would be ok but not worth the extra cost. I'm very happy with this.

I've wanted one of these lighted mirrors ever since staying in Disney where there was one in the bathroom. The one they had was wired and I don't like fooling with electricity so never bought one. When I saw this mirror was battery powered, I jumped right on it. Very easy to install and works just as well as the one at Disney. Having a conveniently mounted and lighted make up mirror is fantastic. Well-made and worth the money. Highly recommend.

Great mirror to see very close up for eye makeup application and also to see back of head. Sturdy and well made. Easy to install but as someone else mentioned you may want to use better/bigger anchors than what supplied to secure it to the wall. The light is perfect and the arm allows you to your whole head/face from all angles. Batteries easy to put in and on/off switch easily accessible. The 10x is a little too strong but since I need this mostly for up close eye make up it is fine. Very happy with this purchase and would recommend.

I bought this mirror for the times when some up close attention is needed, light works great, easy to install and very sturdy, folds away nice against the wall when not needed. magnify option is handy at times, I am very happy with this purchase

The Mirror with 10x magnification , has very high distortion unless you are very close to the mirror . Quality of the product other wise is quite good
