Laser Level, RockSeed Cross Line Laser with Self-Leveling, Vertical and Horizontal Line, Rotatable 360 Degree, Carrying Pouch, Battery Included (Not Tripod)

I picked up this RocKSeed cross line laser through the Vine program and put it through its paces on a couple of DIY projects around the house before writing this up. Laser levels are one of those tools that look straightforward on paper but vary wildly in actual field performance, and I wanted to spend some real time with this one before passing judgment. First, the basics. This is a self-leveling cross line laser that projects both a horizontal and a vertical line simultaneously, and it also supports a rotation mode where you can lock the pendulum and tilt the unit for plumb or angled line work. The self-leveling range is rated at plus or minus four degrees, which is generous enough to handle most surfaces that are not dramatically unlevel. The leveling process is fast, quiet, and reliable. When you set it down on a surface and power it on, it settles into level within a couple of seconds and holds steady without any noticeable drift. The laser lines themselves are sharp and bright. I used this on an indoor wall project in normal ambient room light and the lines were clearly visible at distances out to about twenty feet without any difficulty. Outdoors or in very brightly lit environments you would want to use the included tinted glasses, which are a nice inclusion. The red beam is a standard green-alternative option for a budget-friendly price point and performs well for interior use cases where you are not fighting direct sunlight. The build quality is solid for this price range. The housing is hard plastic with a rubberized grip section that gives it some resistance to drops, and the unit feels dense and well-balanced in hand. The magnetic base is a feature I genuinely appreciate. Being able to attach this directly to a metal stud finder, a metal door frame, or any ferrous surface while keeping both hands free for marking is a significant workflow improvement over tripod-only setups. It ships with a small tabletop stand as well, which works with a standard quarter-twenty tripod thread if you want to elevate it. The mount and stand setup feels stable and the adjustability is more than adequate for standard wall alignment, tile layout, cabinet installation, and picture hanging tasks. I used it for running a level line across an entire wall for a shelving project and it saved me a lot of time compared to doing it manually with a bubble level and chalk line. Battery life has been good. I have used it across multiple sessions and the batteries are still going strong. The auto-shutoff feature helps conserve power when you inevitably walk away and forget to turn it off, which happens more than I care to admit during involved projects. For a DIYer or someone doing light professional work like tile setting, furniture installation, or general carpentry, this is an excellent value. It delivers accurate, repeatable lines without requiring significant setup time and the self-leveling mechanism works reliably. Highly recommended for anyone who does regular home improvement work and does not want to spend several hundred dollars on a rotary laser setup.

This has worked out so well since I bought it. Putting things up takes a quarter of the time (I no longer have to guesstimate or triple measure). I have also used it for smaller crafting/art projects when a ruler isn’t around, the accuracy has been impressive. It might be a bit much, but it works all the same (although, it is a laser and it is very bright, so be careful about reflective surfaces or getting that light caught in your eye). This was completely worth the money! A friend made fun of my for being excited about finally getting and laser level and now he’s been asking to borrow it.

This level has come in handy so many times. The green light is very easy to see on walls. The only issue is that it has to be sitting at the hight you need to self level, so if you need a level line high up near the ceiling,It needs to be sitting at that height, which sometimes isn't easy. It would be nice if you could point it up, and it would mark a level line where you point it.

Bought this months ago. Just used it again (twice) today. Family is busy so i do everything single handed. I trust the self leveling feature but it is simple and does a simple job. If you plan ahed, you can mark most grade in low light. If you want to shoot long shots in bright sunlight you don't actually understan what we are talking about. I am planing some entry steps and needed a rise #. Took 3 minutes (dont forget to subtract the 1-3/4" offset from the devise (only complaint). I have used it in full sun out to about 25' but needed an empty box and cut off metal tape. Don't throw those away!

Works great for my indoor use. I have verified its accuracy using a manual level and found no issues. I find its simplicity to be a great benefit. Just put it down and flip the slide switch and the unit turns on, and releases the auto-level pendulum to provide you the green laser leveled lines. For a minor reposition, I gently move the unit not to upset the pendulum too much. For larger repositioning, I turn off the slide switch/unit to lock the pendulum in place before repositioning. While it has a top button for manually turning it on WithOUT the auto-level feature, this was NOT something I needed for my project. So I will just say the manual button works as expected. I prefer to use the auto-level feature.

Für den Preis unschlagbar. Nach der ersten Anwendung darf ich berichten, dass das Produkt für den Heimwerker geeignet ist. Ein Kreuzlaser ist nicht sonderlich schwierig in der Anwendung und erleichtert die Montage von bspw. Wandregalen oder Schranktürgriffen immens. Ich empfehle die Version mit Stativ zu erwerben, wenn Sie nicht bereits über eines verfügen. Jedes handelsübliche Kamerastativ dürfte i.d.R. mit dem Kreuzlaser kompatibel sein. Und auch hier kann man beim Aufpreis für die Version mit Stativ wirklich nicht meckern. Ich ärgere mich tatsächlich etwas darüber mir nicht schon deutlich früher einen solchen Kreuzlaser zugelegt zu haben. Die Investition lohnt sich wirklich. Sollten Sie also vor der Entscheidung stehen ob sich die Anschaffung dieses Produkts (bzw. eines Kreuzlasers) für Sie rechnet, dann möchte ich Ihnen nur mitgeben, dass dieses kleine Helferlein Ihnen nicht nur Zeit sondern auch sehr viel Frust sparen wird - und das sollte Überzeugung genug sein.

Professionnel du bâtiment j'avais besoin d'un petit laser pour du carrelage mural, monter des cuisines, des meubles, des radiateurs et autres. La facilité d'emploi et la qualité du laser m'ont épatés comparés à d'autres que j'ai déjà utilisé. Très lumineux en plein jour et sur des murs blanc. C'est certainement un clone d'une autre marque mais il marche impeccablement. le laser vert c'est le top!

Seems to work very well, laser lines are very bright and easy to see. I have nothing to compare it to but for the price it did what I wanted.

This review is for a laser level with tripod, branded RockSeed, priced at £35.99 when reviewed. In the box is a compact green line laser level in a soft case with a belt clip, a collapsable tripod in a soft carry case, a pair of AA batteries and some brief instructions for the laser level. As is common with main similar levels, the beam flashes if the unit is not level enough to auto level its beam, and the unit provides both a vertical line and a horizontal line. In use, inserting the batteries is the first challenge. It's not clear how to open the battery compartment, and I was worried about breaking the clip. Once that was figured out, it wasn't clear which orientation to insert the batteries - on closer inspection a + and - is cut into the terminals on the battery flap, but easy to miss. Once the batteries were in, it works well, both as a standalone unit, or when attached to the decent supplied tripod. If using the top extension of the tripod - which is raised and lowered with a handle - make sure you fully tighten the thumbscrew, else it has a bit of a wobble. Using just this extension, the height of the tripod is a maximum of approximately 52cm. Additionally, each leg has 3 sets of extensions, that can be locked in any position, giving the tripod a maximum height of 101cm, and remains stable at this height. Additionally, a pair of spirit levels in the tripod help get it as level as possible. The laser level beam line, when checked with a spirit level, is spot on as expected.
