I bought this cable to replace the original one for my wax melter because the one it came with was too short and didn't allow me to work comfortably at my workbench.This new cable worked perfectly. It works with my ASUS VA27DCP computer monitor. I needed a new power cord because my cat decided to start trying to bite the original one & I needed a replacement power cord. I've wrapped the new cord in a cord protector and it should be good for a long time now. The cord looks sturdy enough & worked right away with no trouble after plugging it in. For most people it should be durable. If you have a cat or other animal who's curious, get a cord protector for it.
