So it is porous, but you can’t see the pores. I didn’t want to drill into it, I have the equipment to do it, I was a masonry contractor. Suction cups would not stick and then I switched to another one that had adhesive, but it was a piece of junk, so I bought this one and it has 3M adhesive on the back and you can’t go wrong with 3M products.
