Remington Compact Ceramic Hot Rollers, 10-Piece Hair Roller Set

Perfect for travel as they are compact and dual voltage. My hair is very fine and very soft and needs a lot of heat to get a lasting curl and these do a great job equal to my VERY expensive T3 set. I bought two sets because they are relatively inexpensive. I put all the larger size rollers in one set and all the smaller size in the other set. I travel with the smaller size rollers because they help me to get a lasting curl. And I bring just two of the larger size rollers with me when I travelfor my bangs. When I take out my first two rollers to curl the rest of my hair, I pop on the extra two larger rollers and by the time I am done curling the rest of my head, the two larger rollers are ready. The only reason the carrying case would melt as another reviewer experienced, is if you covered it up while it was heating. I did not experience the rollers to be too hot to handle. Nor were they too hot on my head. I very enthusiastically and highly recommend these hot rollers! They have exceeded all of my hopes and expectations!!! I’m thrilled to have found something that works so well and is so compact for travel and also for storage in my bathroom.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these Remington Compact Ceramic Dual Voltage Hot Rollers. They heat up quickly, are easy to use, and give my hair nice volume and soft curls without excessive heat damage. The ceramic rollers help reduce frizz and leave my hair looking smooth and shiny. I especially like the compact size and dual-voltage feature, which make them perfect for travel. They don’t take up much space in a suitcase, and I can use them internationally without worrying about voltage converters. The clips hold well, and the curls last several hours on my medium-length hair. For the price, this set delivers great results and is a convenient alternative to curling irons. Overall, a reliable, affordable styling tool that I would definitely recommend.

This is my second set of these. The first set I bought for travel in the 80s or 90s. It was still working like new when I moved years ago and never saw them again. The box says they heat quickly (like 90 seconds) which isn’t remotely accurate but they heat ok in 5 minutes. If they get really hit you can’t hold them but I set my iphone alarm and they work as expected. The pins work fine. I tried different rollers years ago and these worked as well or better than the more expensive units. I assume there have been no real issues with this Remington product or it wouldn’t be on the market for decades and…it curls well. It would bee nice to have an auto shutoff however items that have this don’t seem to last as long so modern phone alarms do the job. These were a no brainer for me at the current price. I’m sure I paid quite a bit more for my first set. If you need these for travel they are the best. They are light weight, take up little space in my carryon and they have a soft cover rather than the hard plastic ones that easily break. Some tech just doesn’t need big updates. When this set came in I used it before eating out and received lots of compliments on my hair. It smooths out the hair which is nice in humid climates. I go between Vermont and NYC — crazy humid.

Easy to use. Heat up quickly like under three minutes and clips hold rollers tightly in hair. They hold in the heat for a decent amount of time so that the hair has time to make a strong curl that lasts half a day or more. Cool off quickly and store away under the sink. No complaints. Good value for the money. I hope these last for years to come.

This is the first time I've had experience with hot rollers and I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with this little set. I was reluctant for years to try hot rollers because I was figured they'd be a waste of money. Curling irons never get a curl into my hair, ever. Even when I go to a pro, they struggle to get a curl into my hair. After seeing so many people recommend hot rollers especially for hair that's like mine, I decided to take a chance with hot rollers and decided to try this set since it's smaller and not as pricey as others on the market. From the picture and description, I thought that I'd need two sets to work all my hair into the rollers and I can actually get away with one set if I want looser curls. This look is good for everyday. I might need the second set for more tight curls. For reference, my hair is layered and the longest layer reaches the small of my back. I have lots of fine hair, as well. Like I said, I never had much success with anything else that's supposed to curl your hair but, with these, not only are they fast and easy, they curl my hair without an issue. HEAT: They heat up at a decent rate. I think they reach optimum temp. in about 3 minutes, unlike the description states. This isn't an issue for me but, if you were looking for something that heats up much quicker than that, these might be a disappointment to you. They hold their heat well while they are in your hair. Also, I don't have an issue where some curlers heat up and others don't like other people stated in their reviews but, to be safe, I always make sure that they are pushed all the way into the heating device while heating up. CLIPS: They come with their own clips. They are the metal kind and I've heard that these kind are the best since they don't leave marks or creases in your hair. I also, unlike other reviewers, didn't have an issue with these clips and their holdability. They stay put and don't flop around. I think that if you're having this issue, you might be putting too much hair around one roller. I can't be certain of that but, that's what I suspect. SIZE: These are definitely a portable set and if you plan to use these as a travel set, they are extremely compact. I like that they are compact because, unlike other sets, they don't have bulky cases that would take up far too much space in my bathroom. Even with my two sets, I feel like they're the perfect size and don't take up much space at all. Overall, I love these and I'd recommend them to everyone looking to purchase some hot rollers.

Some of the clips didn't fit the rollers properly, and I ended up replacing them with some I purchased separately. I bought this for a one month trip to Europe and the middle east. It was worth it to save the space in my suitcase, but I wouldn't like them for normal daily use. They don't get as hot as my regular set, and don't seem like they would be as easy on your hair as other sets. I have hair well below my shoulders and had to do my hair 1/2 at a time, allowing the rollers to reheat. The rollers are also not soft, like a lot of the ones you might buy for regular home use. I would be concerned these might be hard on your hair if it is long like mine and chemically processed. However, I will definitely use them again for traveling internationally when space is limited. There is no need for a converter, you just need an adapter. I bought these primarily for the travel, so they have served that purpose for me, and was a decent value for the money since it is so small for travel. I have not (so far) seen anything I think would be any better. If they would make the rollers softer, provide clips that fit better, and ensure the rollers heated up a bit warmer, this would be a really great product. Alright - I'm on about my sixth set of these.... the first time, I reviewed them as 5-stars. The last time I reviewed them as 1-star - because they had changed their clips. I loved that these curlers are compact, heat up fast and came with clips that don't leave a kink in fine hair. I hated when they went to a new cheaper version of clips that made you play the "find the clip and curler" game as the clip flew out of your head after less than 2 minutes. I bought my latest set when even though they didn't take up my challenge (see last review) they introduced j-clips that addressed my complaints (as well as many on here). I would actually give these a 10-star rating now. Great set of curlers for travel or everyday - with clips that match the curlers performance! So, I previously gave these curlers a very-high ranking. I've used them for years, and no matter which other ones I try, I always end up going back to these. I just bought another replacement set.... and since these, because of a change in the clips, are no longer the same product, I am adjusting my review accordingly. Here is my challenge to whomever in Remingtion aisre now responsible for these... Gather up some women in your company and go into a meeting room. Bring plenty of these curler sets in for them to use (no need to plug them in or heat them up - that part works fine). Now, have them curl their hair in them, if you can get 5 woman who can keep all these in their hair with the provided fasteners for 5 minutes I'll adjust this review again. Here's the great part, if my experience is a sample,they won't just fall out or not hold -they will FLY out. Pins will jettison themselves across the room and under pieces of furniture, curlers will go rolling across the floor, and as they pick people scramble for pins and curlers, the rest of them will do the same. I call it the "Chase a curler game") I know every trick in the book for keeping these type of fasteners in - and these are just too small for the curlers. Seems like someone made a poor cost-cutting decision or you aren't getting the fasteners you were promised. Either way - good curlers without a way to fasten them aren't worth anything. Hope you pick up the challenge - I'd love to see it on YouTube. ORIGINAL REVIEW I've owned a couple of sets of these. (They tend to look worn out from regular use every couple of years and I replace them - even though they're still working fine). In fact, I bought one set just to keep in my travel bag - and replaced my regular "big home set" with these, as well. They heat up very quickly and leave a long lasting curl (even if you leave them in just a short time). They are particularly great for fine hair, and these have better clips than the last set I bought. (These wire clips don't leave a kink in your curl like the plastic "clip all the way around the curl" type does.) Really, a great value and great product all around!

Bought 2 sets b/c I have a lot of hair - Took away 1 star b/c they do fall out/no grips if you move too much. Other than that I really like them and they’re still working months after I bought them.

Love Love Love these hot rollers! They heat fast, curl quickly, are easy to use. We travel full time so I need something compact. These are perfect. My hair feels so nice now, not dry like when using a curling iron. I’d 100% buy them again. Advice: make sure you push all the curlers down into their heating spot each time before use, or they won’t heat properly.
