So far I've purchased the Slim, Fusion and Onyx for my iPhone7, Note 4 and Huawei Mate 8 phones.For the last 3 years, I have been a BIG Spigen fan. So much so that I have turned my family members and many friends onto to Spigen as well. Slim Armor, Tough Armor, Air Cushion, Neo Hybrid... you name it, I've purchased them for the iPhone5S, iPhone6 and 6Plus, Galaxy S4, Nexus 6 and Galaxy Note 4. Must be more than 20 cases. But their designs have somehow turned out to be boring to me now.So I decided to try out this Onyx from RIngke. Online, it appeared to be a not-too-bulky case that would offer protection from most everyday mishaps, from scuffs and scrapes to minor drops and falls. It surely has fulfilled my expectations.The edges are nicely textured and provide a lot of grip when holding in hand. The buttons are slightly raised and are easily identified by feel only and are easy to push. Cutouts are accurately done and will allow for aftermarket lightning cables that might be larger than OEM. That brushed metal-look back is quite well done, with a both a premium look and feel. The simulated carbon fiber adds a modern touch, but not over done.The case itself is flexible but fits the phone snugly. The TPU is thick enough to provide adequate protection without adding additional unnecessary bulk. The price is great and I love the case...it’s durable (I dropped my last phone and the phone itself was completely fine thanks to the case except it landed on something which pushed the home button in so that’s the only reason it got replaced) and it is a nice, durable alternative if you don’t want a bulky otterbox. It covers the sides of the phone and has a bumper (it could be a little higher but it does it’s job and protects the screen), and it has little grips on the side to help with holding the phone. The back of the case is a little slippery but I have one of those little stick on holders that is shaped like a ring so I don’t drop the phone with my arthritic hands & I think that has made it adhere better. Plus it’s very easy to clean & doesn’t leave smudges or anything.
