Great quality iron for a hobbyist
This iron is excellent! I've only ever owned the no-name irons with tips that get gross almost instantly and never seem to hold a consistent temp, so this is a huge upgrade. I've only used it on a few things, but it's been fantastic so far. For my uses, I've used it to desolder a couple of small wires from PCB, then resolder them with no issues, repair a headphone jack with new solder joints, and fix a guitar jack. When paired with a quality power supply, good solder, and a brass sponge, it works extremely well. It heats up within seconds - it's advertised to get to operating temp in 12, but it seems to be even faster in my experience. Crazy! It also holds a very consistent temperature, and if there are any fluctuations, you see it right on the display. It's comfortable to hold and even looks nice! The tip seems well constructed and it's a good size with a narrow end to get into tight spots. It would be nice if it came with some extras, but I suspect it'll last a while with the right care. I do wish it also came with a bag or case, since having it loose in a drawer isn't ideal. A recommendation or an optional power supply to add on would be great, as well. Just make sure you do some careful shopping and grab one that can output the higher end of what it's able to take. I actually didn't think to buy one and I made it work with a USB-C Macbook charger, and it worked really well so I've had no reason to buy another. Take a look at what you've got lying around and see if it'll work before placing another order. Overall, I highly recommend this iron if you're a hobbyist or enthusiast and just need something simple, effective, and well-made. I did a lot of research and this one kept coming up as the highest recommended cheap iron, and I definitely understand why!

Tiny Yet Mighty
I picked up the PINECIL Smart Mini Portable Soldering Iron about three years ago, and it’s still going strong! I got it so I could precisely control the temperature of my tip while soldering wires to 18650 cells, and it has performed flawlessly. What really impressed me is its size — it’s much smaller than other soldering irons, so I can easily reach tight nooks and crannies. I bought extra tips for other types of soldering work, and they fit perfectly, so there must be some kind of standard tip design. The PINECIL can be powered by almost anything. It works with USB-C, barrel connectors, wall adapters, or even batteries — voltage doesn’t seem to matter. I haven’t used it with a battery personally, but the versatility is impressive. Its small size also lets it heat up incredibly fast — it goes from room temperature to 400°C in about 10 seconds. The OLED screen has a ton of controls and makes switching temperatures simple and precise. It even has a motion-sensor sleep mode, which is a lifesaver for me because I tend to leave my soldering iron plugged in. It automatically wakes up as soon as you pick it up, which is super convenient. Overall, this is an amazing little soldering iron — compact, fast, versatile, and reliable. I’d highly recommend it for anyone who wants a high-performance portable soldering tool.

The very best soldering Iron I've ever had.
I've had countless soldering irons over the years and hilariously enough preferred the super cheap old school soldering irons that I used back in electronics class in school because they just worked. I was never able to find a soldering iron that worked as well as those ones until I got this soldering iron. It heats up insanely quickly and is lightweight for those long repair jobs that you're holding it a long time. This soldering iron easily solders anything I ask it to in a hurry rather than having to wait ages for the solder to feel like melting. It fits nice in my hand unlike all the other's I've had that were very bulky from integrated leds and fluff like that. This one does have some bells and whistles but they don't get in your way like the others and their implementation is well thought out and reliable. If you're looking for a lightweight soldering iron that can fit in your pocket (with a small battery bank to power it of course) then you really can't go wrong with this one.

Awesome Soldering Iron
Awesome soldering iron. Well built and heats up superfast and holds that temp. Could never solder and once I got into electric RC cars I soon realized I would have to learn how to solder good if I wanted my motors to run as advertised. I bought some other cheaper irons but they weren't that great and thats when I found this Pinecil V2 Smart Iron. Amazon price is the best I've seen and I paired this with Ankers 100w Prime LCD display wall charger with a Miniware 240w USB C cable and Miniware iron tips. I eventually bought the clear body and swapped the internals over to it for a cool see thru look. I can honestly say that this iron along with Kester 44 solder produces perfect welds that are solid, shiny and good electrical flow. Well worth the cost and I have no problem getting great welds on everything from 10awg and smaller.

Small, mighty and super effective
Accept no substitutes. I've used a variety of soldering tools, from a crusty but trusty Weller to a rather pricey laboratory soldering station. This is replacing my newish entry-level Weller and I couldn't be happier. The tips wiggle around a bit but once you get accustomed to that it's no big deal. Easy to use, quick to heat. Once I settled on a beefy enough power supply (the 60w wall wart for a macbook) it ran like a dream. Just finished recapping a Macintosh SE board from 1989 and I wouldn't want any other iron in my hand for the job.

Good entry level soldering iron.
Loses temp fairly easily but regains it quickly as well. Decent little soldering iron for the basic of users. I was thinking it was a 2 star product as the soldering metal part was consistently loose. Turns out there's a screw to tighten it. The only issue is the requirements of a phone charger and cable.

If your needing a soldering iron get this one
I wish i would have found this long ago. All the good reviews this little beast has is the truth i have had over 30.soldering irons and this thing out does them all by a longshot. It is so versital can be used anywhere . Im into rc planes helis cars trucks and i usually solder something everyday. It works off different power supplys what i llike best is i can connect to a 3s 4s 5s battery pack and repair anything i need to out at the field. Itt has no problem sokdering battery terminals or soldering small wires to a drone stack . Heat ranfe us fully adjustable and it keeps up with the demand. If your thinking about getting this quit thinking and buy. I almost talked myself out of purchasing because funds wher tight but after i got it i realized i couldnt afford not to have it . From small precision soldering to larger high volume soldering it does it all. The amount of voltage you give it will deoend on how hit it will get i have used a 4s and it heats up to maxs . Do yourself a fav I r and get it you will love it. Quality I s great its lifhtweight small rigid and the heat doesnt transfer to the handle

Life fulfilling tool
Works very well and heats up quickly with accurate heat settings. Per the husband, it fulfilled all of his lifelong goals and dreams with the quality of this mini soldering iron. It only comes with one tip and it and a small instruction booklet. There’s not a charger for it but who doesn’t have a million usb cords laying around.

Es muy bueno, se siente de buena calidad.
el material se siente duradero, y la pantalla led ayuda, debe estar conectado todo el tiempo pero solo lo conectas a una powerbank y ya, no he tenido problemas hasta el momento.

Incredibly polished. Struggles with larger ground planes.
This little guy is an incredibly polished piece of hardware. From small details like the LCD changing orientation based on how you hold the iron, to the animated display, you can tell a lot of work has gone into making the hardware and software. But the key question, of course, is - how does it solder? If it solders poorly then it's useless. And, with a 65W USB-PD connection, it solders well. As any iron does, it struggles with larger ground planes; that is to be expected. I used this for a custom project with a 2oz 4-layer copper pour on the PCB, and had to use two irons for many of the larger joints, as well as a hot plate to get a particularly stubborn inductor soldered. I don't think this is worth taking a star away for though; it solders well enough at its maximum temperature of 450C as long as you remember to tin the tip regularly and keep it from oxidizing, and handily trades blows with high-end Pace and Weller stations I've used that cost 10 times as much. One thing it does very nicely is heat up fast. Very fast. It takes around 15 seconds to go from room temperature to 450C, and much less if you're soldering at a more reasonable 350C. This is great because you can cool down the iron if you need it in 10 minutes, without having to wait a minute or two for it to heat back up again. That may sound trivial, but it reduces oxidation and increases the lifespan of your tip. Speaking of tips - those are cheap, too. Replacements on Amazon can be had for as low as $12, which is plenty low enough considering mine still works like new after a fair amount of usage. Overall, for the price this is very reasonable. Keep in mind that you'll need to pick up a USB-PD brick and cable with a 65W rating if you don't already have one, which pushes the total to around $110 CAD. With that being said, that price is still excellent for what this iron does, and I've already recommended it to many friends and colleagues. Seriously, buy this if you need a replacement iron or are getting into the hobby. Cheaper ones are miserable to work with, and this thing is near unbeatable for the price.

- Ultra schnell aufheizen.

Great soldering iron
Pinecil works very well for soldering, could use with everything i needed except for a motherboard (but tbf, that was directly into a few layers of vcore power plane, i was gonna need to heat the board using any iron) With a 65w PD power, heats up very fast
