This unit goes from French press coarse to a pretty fine espresso powder simply by twisting the hopper on top through 40 detents. Grind can be further calibrated with a screwdriver. I can’t have any coffee retained in the grinder. How is the Virtuoso in this respect?** A: This is my first burr grinder so I can't compare. I can say it is not zero retention. Our coffee is always weighed to each of our individual liking with no complaint. Might I suggest going to Youtube and scanning reviews on zero retention grinders.
