I think this is one of Johnny's best albums. Just straight ahead, gritty blues, with a nice production. This isn't my favorite guitar tone of his, but the playing more than makes up for it.

Let me in is another great example of JDW's expertize and raw feeling for the music that he (and I) so obviously love.  Like all of his releases, there's not one bad cut.  He falls back into the realm of The Blues on occasion, but that's NEVER a downgrade on his releases, rather it's a reaffirmation of the roots of Blues Rock, and he ALWAYS delivers virtuoso performances no matter the genre.  I should add that my purchases of Johnny Winter CD's are replacements for many of his Vinyl LP's which were stolen from me in a house burglary in Florida.  All I can say is the thieves had good taste in music, as they took almost my entire collection.  The only ones they left me were at a friend's house on loan.I want to add my thanks for the folks at Amazon for re-instituting the play list samples, they're a great buyer's tool.
