I was worried that this lighter weight came wouldn't work as well with it. I did check the specs and there is one made in the correct size, so I may try it at some point. **Q: The picture shows a band holding the cane closed. However, there is no mention of this. Does it come with this strap?** A: Yes. I bought the rose-pattern cane and it came with a black strap, with Velcro, to keep the cane in a folded position. It also comes with a black bag/pouch to travel with and/or store in a purse, etc. in a folded position. **Q: is there button to press for opening the cane** A: No, it does not has the press button to fold or unfold the cane. It is easy to fold or unfold for daily use.
