Simple five-minute install on our Class C Motorhome on top of a Ford E-450 Super Duty 6.8 liter V-10. I have used K&N filters on every car and truck I've owned for the last 25 years and have been extremely pleased with their performance, and ease of cleaning and reuse. This air filter is a unique type vs the more common flat filters, but nonetheless, it was a phenomenally easy replacement for the existing paper filter on the RV we purchased. Together with an oil and XMSN oil change and K&N Oil Filter, our engine in now purring, with more pep, and I expect to see an increase in MPG. When you're getting ready to take an RV on a more than 4000 mile road trip, it's important to have everything perfect before departure to mitigate the potential of breaking down in some inhospitable or remote location. K&N gives me the warm, fuzzy feeling of knowing that I have the best installed! Also, less throttle is needed on the freeway, which should mean better fuel economy. A little harder to install because the K&N gasket is made of a stiffer material than normal filters. I have a 2001 Ford Econoline 150 with the 4.6 V8. When checking out you have the option of an outer box; I didn't choose that and my filter arrived in a bag, slightly crushed... I also got a panel style K&N for my 1.9 BMW Z3, and the difference was even more dramatic, like adding a turbo.

I've put a k&n engine air filter in every vehicle I've owned and again not disappointed. Was slightly tight clamping it back into place but I only saw that as having a good seal around the rubber part of the filter. I doubt it gives you extra horsepower but I've noticed better throttle response. I'll continue to use these k&n filters in the future for any other vehicles I may purchase.
