The switches look and feel top notch, so does the rubberised plastic surface. Does not feel hollow and flimsy like some of the other options available in this price range. I have managed with a CH yoke for the last 15 years and this upgrade was the best thing that could have happened to my flight simming hobby. The difference compared to my previous CH and Saitek yokes are like night and day. The desk clamps are super sturdy and require only minimal tightening to stay in place, keeping the yoke solidly planted with no movement at all. The flat top surface is much appreciated and gives me a place to rest my ipad with charts. The only con would be the pitch axis which requires considerably more force than the aileron axis. Wish it was lighter to pull. That's just a small gripe though. Overall i am overjoyed with it's quality. Buyer beware. **Q: What are the dimensions of the large square-ish part of the mounting piece?** A: The yoke itself is larger than the mounting piece. The yoke box width is just under 11 inches. The yoke box depth is about 10 inches of you count the switches but not the yoke itself. The mounting piece is about 10 inches deep and 8.5 inches wide. These are approximate for the base plate as I don't want to take the yoke off it. **Q: what is the length of the under mount bolts to secure the yoke to the table top?** A: I'm not sure about undermount bolts. I believe that both the yoke and throttle quadrant have nice "C" clamps that have a depth (the amount that goes onto the table) of about 2" and an opening that may be 1/4" more.
