Nail Tek Intensive Therapy II 0.5 oz

I have used every nail strengthener /hardener on the market and this, by far, is the best. I have always struggled with weak nails and whether it’s change of seasons or old age, I just know that I’ve used this with great success. MUCH more than all of the others that I have tried. I apply every other day, and remove completely once a week- then start over.

I read a lot of reviews for this and other nail repair products. This one had the best reviews, so I purchased it. My nails were so damaged from the salon that they were weak, splitting, curling up, and tearing. There were bruises under the nail halfway down the nail bed and my nails were a marled white at the tips. I kept cutting them short, but they would still tear even further down and curl up at what was left of the tips. My fingertips were sore and looked disastrous. I started putting Nail Tek on my nails as soon as I received it. I put it on once a day, each coat on top of the last, thinking, this stuff is going to peel off one of these days. It's been four days and the Nail Tek isn't peeling and neither are my nails. The marled white is gone and the bruising is fading. My nails are not splitting, curling up, or tearing and are finally able to grow. I am incredibly happy that others have put their reviews here to help me make a decision that is making a difference in my damaged nails. Lasts a long time on your nails and they get stronger

Some confusion here about what this product is. 1. It's a base coat. (It can also be used as a top coat, per Nailtek.) 2. It's part of a product line. 3. There is also a product called "Foundation". "Foundation" and "Therapy" are both strengtheners but not the same product. Both, however, are base coats. ~~ Nailtek identifies 4 different types of nails. These are numbered 1-4, with 1 being for healthy nails and 4 for nails in very bad condition (such as after removal of acrylics). ~~ Each nail type is also assigned a name. * "XTRA" means products just for nail type 4; and has nothing to do with a more powerful strengths of products in nail lines 1, 2, and 3. * "Protection" is the added name for nails 3. * "Intensive" has been added to nails 2. * No, I don't know what nails 1 is called; I've never had nails that good! The -numbers- are consistent for each nail type, so play match-by-number and forget the added names. ~~ There are 2 kinds of base coats in each nail type. * therapy * ridge filler ("Foundation") In nails 2, they're called "Intensive Therapy 2" and "Foundation 2" [no "Intensive" in the name for Foundation 2; are we confused yet?!] ~~ If you have ridges, use "Foundation" as your base coat. In this order: * "Foundation" (2 coats) as base coats * optional: colored polish (2 coats) * "Therapy" (this product – 2 coats) as top coats * Daily maintenance until polish change: "Therapy" 1-2 coats ~~ If you don't have ridges, use "Therapy" as your base coat and skip "Foundation" altogether. In this order: * "Therapy" (this product - 2 coats) as base coats * optional: colored polish (2 coats) * "Therapy" (2 coats) as top coats * Daily maintenance until polish change: "Therapy" 1-2 coats ~~ Now that I have sorted it out for myself (and I hope it was helpful to you, too!), I'm going to take the product for a spin. Will update. UPDATE: It works pretty well, especially if you use a silk "temporary fix" product over the base coat. mb

Have tried clear nail polish to help peeling nails. None worked except NailTek 2. Followed the brief instructions and after a month and have seen a remarkable improvement. On one hand the peeling is completely stopped. On the other hand only two nails still have some peeling. The two major advantages of NailTek are :1) it dries very fast - so an application does not take up a half an hour. 2) It is very much harder than normal polish - I guess that is how it keeps in moisture and prevents peeling. The only negative is how to remove the polish. After a week the layers of polish are substantial. Unfortunately, nail polish remover does not work very well. I found the best way is to catch an edge of the polish and peel it off the nail. Any small patches left can be removed with remover. I've been using this for about a month and a half. I've used it as described, applying it daily for a week, then removing it and starting fresh. It's nice when it's on, and after several coats is seems to protect my nails well. It may have increased my nail strength a bit, but I still have breakage and peeling. I also found it started to peel and chip after about three days, no matter what I did. It hasn't hurt my nails. It might help a little, but not much. I'll keep it around as a base coat or clear nail polish, but it looks like my quest for a good nail strengthener continues.

I didn't have any great expectations that this would work since I've tried just about everything available to strengthen my nails. They are thin, perpetually pealing, and bend like paper. Always have, and a recent application of gel nail polish left them even more damaged. My hair stylist recommended this and I'm happy to say that in just over 10 days of daily application (build up one coat a day up to 7 then remove), I can see a distinct improvement already. I suspect it's because the layers harden up some and provide support, so not convinced my nails would be miraculously better without the Nail Tek on (yet?), but I haven't broken, torn, or had to deal with a peeling nail since I started applying it. I'd advise just making sure that you follow the instructions and that you avoid the cuticle areas as far as possible, but very, very happy with this, and it's going on my staple products list.

This product is the only polish that helped my damaged nails. I just received my second order, however don’t think it will work overnight. The first time I used it I could feel it was different than all others. You can literally see the nails growing stronger and healthier over time. I like removing and renew the polish every 3 days use good nail polish remover. I also use Londontown “Kur” restorative Nail Cream available here an Amazon. For the first time in my life I have great looking nails. You will not regret the investment.
