We’ve had two in the house for several years ( used for cold brew coffee & infusing herbs into A cider vinegar base) neither filter has shone any sign of discoloring and return to original bright Finish after routine cleaning. The quality of the stainless would indicate that it’s not any of the crap That comes out CHINA❗️ **Q: What is the micron measurement for this filter?** A: It's not as fine as it seems. Somewhere smaller than 300um from my unscientific tests using coffee grounds seived at 300um. Lots of much smaller fines often get through the mes. About 10% of coffee grounds get through. Matt County Line Kitchen ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect fit for 2qt County Line mason jar pitchers *by M***N on July 26, 2025* This insert worked perfectly in my previously owned 2 qt County Line mason jar pitcher. It’s designed for this size pitcher and the sizing was perfect. Allowed me to avoid having to buy the complete set available from County Line for cold brew. I wanted to start making cold brew concentrate and this worked perfectly to that end. There is a bit of a learning curve and debate over how much coffee to put in. I personally did 2 cups of coarse ground Kirkland coffee which fit right to the top of the insert. I poured filtered water thru the coffee grounds, being sure to move them around as I went to ensure they were fully soaked. Once done, the lid went on perfectly with the seal on this attachment. No leaking at all when flipping it upside down to mix around. The metal mesh seems like it’s of good quality and will stand up to consistent use. The gasket on top is firmly attached. After 24hrs in the fridge, I had super strong coffee concentrate ready to use. It’s easy enough to clean, just dump out your grounds and wash with warm soapy water.
