The dream bass head! It’s got such a nice variety of sounds that I just began to explore. It is light weight and easy to setup.

Hybrid is the WAY!!!
I've played tube bass amps and they sound great....until you start having tube trouble. This amp has it all...the sound, the power, the subtle tube nuances and only a tube preamp. This is the BEST amp I've ever played! If you want a great bass amp GET THIS ONE!!!!!

An ideal head
Looks great, good quality, and sounds great. I like this head much better than the Super Bassman I previously owned and it’s hundreds less. It is very light but looks like a Bassman tube head, plus it fits on my vintage Bassman 2x15 cabinet due to its shallow depth. The clean tone really does sound like a tube Bassman, but with much better headroom. Two year update: I’ve gigged and rehearsed with this for two years now. Still functions and sounds great. It’s the first head I’ve had that rivals the sound and punch I got from my old Mesa 400+. The only issue I have had is with the weight. This head feels solid, but it is very light. You will need a way to keep it from skittering all over the cabinet from the vibrations. I use an Auralex Isolation pad, but I’m sure that there are other ways to address it.
