Use pure OFC Copper Wiring. Make sure to use the correct gauge wiring, for the CT-2000.1D we suggest using 0GA power wire, anything smaller is not recommended for this amplifier. We do not recommend using CCA wiring. CCA wiring is cheap, it is made using primarily aluminum. The amplifier will perform less than optimal if you decide to use CCA wiring and may even shorten the life of the amplifier. 2. Make sure to properly ground your amplifier. We recommending grounding to the frame of your car. Make sure to clean the surface well, sand down the surface removing any paint, dirt, rust, etc.. so the connection is as strong as possible. We recommend using a bolt (do not use screws). Do not ground the amplifier to a seat bolt or any existing bolt on your vehicle (this a really a bad idea). 3. Tune your amplifier with a DD-1 or O-Scope, make sure it is not clipping. Clipping is the leading cause of subwoofer deaths. 4. Do not mount your amplifier to your subwoofer box. Mount your amplifier away from the subwoofer enclosure in a secure location. Running their amps, speakers and subs due to listening to a lot of rock and metal. I decided to test out one of these ct sounds 8" subs and it hit pretty well though I did not have enough rms in the amp to feed the full 800 watts to this sub so I decided to upgrade my amp. I upgraded to test the ct sounds 1000.1 mono and this sub hit hard! Metal sounded amazing so I switched to some deep bass rap. I was very impressed at the diversity of this sub, so I decided to get 3 more meso 8" subs! I again upgraded my system to the ct sounds 2000.1. I purchased 2 of them. I am running 2 meso 8" subs per 2000.1 mono amp. I did have to do the big 3 upgrade and a 2nd battery with a 400 amp alternator to handle this much power, and I also replaced my kicker 4 channel amp with ct sounds 1000 watt 4 channel amp(150.4) and changed out my kicker door speakers with CT Sounds meso 6.5 component sets. I have completely rebuilt my whole system after testing 1 of these subs! The bass is tremendous with these subs as long as you calculate the rms correctly! I also rebuilt my truck from Kicker to all CT Sounds after my edge! I went with the meso 6.5 subs, 6x9s and meso 6.5 component sets in the doors. If you are only wanting punchy bass the 6.5s are great, though the 8" subs are very diverse and I'd recommend those if you can go that route. If you have not tested out CT Sounds I definitely recommend it! What is the best way to wire it using this amp?** A: If it’s 2ohm dual voice coil subwoofers use kickers diagram for wiring the subwoofers to one ohm. The voice coils need to fire in the same direction or you could fry your woofers. Find out what ohm your subwoofers are then find a wiring diagram from kicker to wire them correctly to the amplifier.
