I just bought new device and after an hour the filter is brown/tan at top? Also I’m using distilled water?

Hi! Are you using distilled water or purified water? The brown hue to a humidifier's wick is typically the harmless byproduct of the minerals in your water. Adding a little vinegar to your humidifier's water can help break down those minerals. While purified water may still contain some minerals, distilled water usually does not. If you are using purified water, you might try adding a little vinegar to see if it helps the discoloration (again, it's harmless). How do I replace the wick?

Run the humidier out of water. Remove the top, there is a frame you need to remove. Remove the old Wick, replace with new, put the frame on the wick. Fill with water and any other liquids you may use. Put top back on, ensuring a good fit. Plug in and turn on
