VideoSecu Power Supply 12V DC 500MA Regulated CCTV Security Camera AC to DC Power Adapter WVM

I have purchased several of these chargers now & they have held up well. The most recent charger I ordered however appears to be defective as it will not continuously charge my devices. I have an Asus T100A with the 3775 processor & this charger is one of the few aftermarket options that will charge it. My cell phones will go from 5% to 95% within 20 minutes or so, so I have to watch them carefully to prevent an overcharging. The wall wart section of the charger is thin enough to fit 2 of them side by side on my power strips on my desk, so outlets are all useable if you are concerned with that.

I ordered a used TrendNet Wireless Gaming Adapter and the scammer on Amazon that sold it to me neglected to mention that the AC adapter was missing. After arguing with me for two straight weeks over the issue instead of just taking care of it as a matter of customer service, the dope orders the wrong one and sends it to me despite the fact that I provided specifications and photos of the other AC adapter I had for my other wireless gaming adapter. A quick search on Amazon for the specs I needed yielded this 12V DC 500mA Regulated CCTV Power Supply. The voltage and amps are exactly what my device needs and the design almost identical to the OEM power supply for the gaming adapter. Works like a charm, no issues whatsoever and you can't beat the price.

Even though the Hikvision cube cams I have say they only need .4amps, this .5 amp charger doesn't quite cut it. I have having issues with the cameras dropping out from time to time. I upgraded to a 1 amp and the issues are gone. Great little power supply though!

Theres not much to say about this, but I figured I'd at least mention it works for my cameras. I had my house prewired with rg6 lines at the front and back doors, not knowing a lot about security camera systems I didnt think to prewire or plan a power source for the cameras. So I'm still using the coax but these adapters make it easy to plug in to a nearby outlet. The only thing I find odd is they get pretty warm, I know thats going to happen with adapters but this one felt a little warmer than usual. I hope when they are in use in 100 degree weather they'll hold up.

As with many POE capable IP cameras, my Hikvision DS-2CD2432F-IW did not come with an AC adapter. I was looking specifically for a regulated power supply that met the power requirements for this camera, and the VideoSecu does so at a reasonable price.If you are looking at this power supply, make sure that it meets the requirements for your device. Specifications on devices are often given in watts. At 12V DC, 500mA would provide a maximum of 6 watts of power, so if your device's max power consumption exceeds 6 watts, or if you want an additional safety margin, you should consider an adapter with a higher rating.

works great . not like those xfmrs that contain a bad diode ,,,,putting a trace horizontal noise signal into your closed loop system like a virus on your monitor screen . once it took me hours to identify the bad xfmr i had been cheap and entered an unknown bad one to my 8 channel otherwise h d quality viewing security system, all i could do is replace the xfmrs one at a time until i found the bad one. ta da !!

I needed a small supply, this fit well and is a decent build. Seems to put out clean power.
